2. Problem Description
VSAT service is not available due to TX issue. You can check the BUC condition
through the Aptus not the ACU or antenna log. For the BUC condition through the
Aptus, it is only identified on the antenna which has RS232 M&C monitoring function
(NJRC mini BUC).
For v100 Model
V3-11(X)-(X)J(X) : J stands for 8W EXT NJRC Mini_RS-232C_NJT8318UNMR
V3-11(X)-(X)L(X) : L stands for 16W EXT NJRC Mini_RS-232C_NJT8319UNMR
2.1 LED on the BUC
Check the status LED of the BUC
Status LED
2.2 Aptus
Click Get Information button to update the BUC status condition and check the
color of all the LED on BUC status in the Aptus.
The four BUC Status LED must be displayed with blue color.
3. Possible Cause
BUC error
BUC power cable & D-sub Gender error
TX Path RF cable error
Modem error
4. Spare Parts
It is recommended to prepare the spare parts below which might be used for
troubleshooting.
4.1 Module
V1-2211 NJRC mini 8W Extended BUC (NJT 8318)
V3-6001 Coaxial Rotary Joint (2 CH) for v100GX/ v100
V3-4008 Main Control Board & BLDC Board Assembly for v100GX/ v100
A-90024 v100GX D-Sub Assembly
4.2 Cable
V3-8024 RF Cable from R/J TX to Conversion Bracket for v100GX
V3-6010 Internal Interface to Skew Cable for v100GX (NJRC Mini 8W M&C)
V3-6013 Internal RF Cable Junction to RJ Ch1 for v100GX
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 In case of RED on the BUC Status LED
1. Tick the ON option in the TX status box and press SET button and check the BUC
status.
Normal Fault
(No 10MHz reference)
3. If “PLL Lock” turns Red Alarm, check 10MHz reference from the modem to the BUC
input cable by using a spectrum analyzer in the order below.
Modem IF cable (between ADU and BDU) Rotary Joint RF Cable
BUC
TX Out
- Connect the spectrum analyzer’s cable to the rotary joint (TX) to measure the 10
MHz reference from the rotary joint as below.
- Connect the spectrum analyzer’s cable to the BUC to measure the 10 MHz reference
from the rotary joint as below.
4. If there is no 10 MHz reference on certain part you have inspected, replace it with
new one.

Voltage
Caution : When you check the GND, tap the case of the MCU kind of thing.
(D-sub assembly)
Insert a needle

Note
Below is the bad condition of the connector due to burnt pin.
