2. Problem Description
VSAT service is not available due to TX issue. You can check the BUC condition
through the Aptus not the ACU or antenna log. For the BUC condition through the
Aptus, it is only identified on the antenna which has RS232 M&C monitoring function
(NJRC mini BUC).
For v100 Model
V3-11(X)-(X)J(X) : J stands for 8W EXT NJRC Mini_RS-232C_NJT8318UNMR
V3-11(X)-(X)L(X) : L stands for 16W EXT NJRC Mini_RS-232C_NJT8319UNMR

5. Troubleshooting
5.1 In case of RED on the BUC Status LED
1. Tick the ON option in the TX status box and press SET button and check the BUC
status.

2. Click “Get Information” as below.

If there is no 10MHz reference to the BUC, “PLL Lock” turns Red Alarm.

Normal Fault
(No 10MHz reference)

3. If “PLL Lock” turns Red Alarm, check 10MHz reference from the modem to the BUC
input cable by using a spectrum analyzer in the order below.
Modem  IF cable (between ADU and BDU)  Rotary Joint  RF Cable 
BUC

5.2 In case of OFF on the BUC Status LED

If the status of BUC LED is off, check the voltage from BUC input connector to the
MCU.
5.2.1 If there is DC voltage (8Watt : 24Vdc / 16Watt : 48Vdc) on the BUC input power cable
Replace the BUC.
- Note that the below BUC is the NJRC mini BUC.

J (DC Power+)
K (GND)

- Check the voltage as below.

Caution
The BUC might be damaged when you check the voltage, carefully measure the BUC
voltage as below.
