As a manager looking to hire additional workers, what steps would you take to maximize the
effectiveness of your recruitment efforts using social media?

Answer: According to an article by PR newswire, Mordern hires states that using “social media
websites” like Facebook and Twitter is not an effective medium to screen employees for an
organization as social media websites like we mentioned above were meant and marketed as a social
tool to share personal posts with friends, families, and friends (PR Newswire,2021). However, here
are some ways through which an organization can somehow perform effective recruitment through
social media.

 A company should create its professional page on platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and
Facebook to gather a mass (Louis & Gomez, 2023). These platforms are perfect for spreading
information about available vacancies to a wide audience, generating a wider pool for the
selection of recruits.
 The company should make sure that they have a strong network of recruiters online, these
recruiters are essential as they help screen out suitable employees for a specific role, also
having a recruiter with wider outreach increases the probability of getting more and better
employees (Louis & Gomez, 2023).
 Lastly, the organization should only receive applications through professional networking
websites like LinkedIn or indeed.com as these websites have special modules to test an
applicant the moment, they fill in the application, this helps recruiters greatly as it can make
sure that an applicant is skilled enough to work a job.

We guess, using the above-mentioned method a company will effectively reach out to more
applicants in a short time and will be able to screen out employees on the basis of their professional
profiles and skills not just what they posted online to be social.
