EXPLAIN:
What happened to the appearance of the gummy bear?
The gummy bear started looking softer and bigger than the original gummy bear and felt slimy as well.

How did the gummy bear’s ‘skin’ act as a selectively permeable membrane?
The gummy bear's skin acted as a selectively permeable membrane and let the
hypotonic solution of water to cross the membrane and this process is called
osmosis when water particles get absorbed into the gummy bear to make it big
and slimy as well due to increased water concentration.

Use the idea of osmosis and the differences in solute concentration to explain
the results of the test.

Osmosis is a process by which the water particles cross through the semipermeable membrane of the
gummy bear which has less water concentration inside gummy bear than the clear water which acts
as a hypotonic solution to decrease the solute concentration inside the gummy bear
