Dear hiring Authority,

I am writing this letter as a solid articulation of interest in the position of Digital Trainee
Programme at DNV, that will push me to new heights. I want to be a part of company which
aspires me to grow, therefore applying here for an opportunity for me to take a first step towards
my goal.
I am currently studying Master’s in Mathematics and Physics with specialization in
“Mathematics”. I previously completed my M. Phil in Applied Mathematics from Pakistan in
2019 and continued working as a Senior Elementary School Educator at Government school in
Pakistan for 2 years. During my thesis projects in Bachelor as well as M. Phil I have
implemented numerical techniques to solve differential equations. I utilized MATLAB and
Maple for the graphing purposes. I have implemented several numerical simulations in
MATLAB to check the performance of the numerical technique. This thesis improved my
problem-solving skills in analytical way. My leadership skill led me to formulate structural
program on team building activity in School. During my teaching career I taught
underprivileged children at evening school under the welfare scheme "Education for all". I also
improved my skills as a team member and learned the management skills from the professional
mathematics teachers. But still I was thinking of lacking some of the skills related to
mathematics especially the programming skills therefore I planned to do my second master’s
here in Norway.

During my study at University of Stavanger I have learned Python and R language. I learned
R language in the course “Mathematical modelling and simulation with R”. Apart from these
skills, I also know the MATLAB and Maple software’s. These skills as a mathematician
groomed me in an effective manner and portraying me as an IT savvy. I think that knowing
programming skills as a mathematician distinguish me from all other competitors.

I am a good team member and adaptive. I am curious to learn things as quickly as possible. I
am open, collaborative, courageous and caring. From my previous Job as well as study
background I have amended my skills in adaptability, communication and problem solving. I
always been a person interested in new technology and love to solve the problems related to
the technology. Furthermore, I always try to learn new things that can help me to grow in my
career in an effective manner.
