Start with the eyes

Eyes (make 2)
1. Do 4 SC in a magic ring. Close the ring. (4) If you don't know how to make a magic ring, click here
for a tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtSwb8dDaYg
2. Increase around, so do 2 SC in each stitch around. (8)
3. 8 SC.
4. 8 SC.
5. 1 SLST in the next SC. Fasten off and leave a long strand for sewing.
6. Insert the 6mm safety eye in the middle of the eye.

Now start making the head and the body. You start with the head.

Head and body

1. Do 6 SC in a magic ring. Close the ring. (6) If you don't know how to make a magic ring, click here
for a tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtSwb8dDaYg
2. 1 SC, increase. Repeat around. (9)
3. 2 SC, increase. Repeat around. (12)
4. 3 SC, increase. Repeat around. (15)
5. 4 SC, increase. Repeat around. (18)
6. 5 SC, increase. Repeat around. (21)
7. 21 SC. (21)
8. 21 SC. (21)
9. 21 SC. (21)
10. 21 SC. (21)
11. 1 SC, decrease. Repeat around. (14)
Change colour at the last decrease. Now you’ll start with the body.
12. 14 SC.
13. 14 SC.
Now sew the eyes onto the head.
14. 14 SC.
15. 14 SC.
Change colour here.
Now keep making rows of 56 SC and change after every row of 56 SC.
Once your snake has the length you like, start making the tip of the tail. You start with a change of
colour at the last (so the 56th) stitch, and then you do the following:
16. 14 SC.
17. 1 SC, decrease. Repeat four more times. (9)
18. 9 SC.
19. 9 SC.
20. Decrease five times. Fasten off.

Last but not least

Designing crochet patterns is a time-consuming and difficult job. I'd love to see you make as many
snakes as you like for yourself or to give as a gifts. But please do not make copies of this pattern,
don’t distribute this pattern, don’t share it and don’t sell it as if it is your design. If you post your own
snake somewhere on the WorldWideWeb, I’d love it if you refer to my blog or Etsy-shop.
