BRIE’S BROWNIES

BUSINESS OVERVIEW

Brief History

Brie's Brownies is a business offering a variety of brownies at affordable prices.

The business was established in December 2021 by the owner, Bryan Azarcon, who

experienced baking in the midst of the pandemic. The business gained recognition for its

unique offerings and commitment to quality at competitive prices. The business is a sole

proprietorship owned by a 22-year-old entrepreneur student at Central Luzon State

University, and he named the business "Brie's Brownies to emphasize that it sells one of

the best sweet goods. The first word is made up of the first three letters of the business

owner, Bryan; he replaced the letter "Y" from the word "bry" by substituting the final two

letters of the word "brownie." The rhyming of the two terms, Brie's Brownies, is also one

of the reasons why he made the alterations. The things that motivated the owner to drive

for this business were the problems he encountered in his community, that several shops

and bakeries around Science City in Munoz, Nueva Ecija, provide their sweet products

for the lowest price due to the product's impending expiration as a promotion. As a result,

customers can no longer purchase more since they will be unable to stock it, which is bad

for their health as well. Since he is a health concious and concerned to people who loves

to eat and purchase sweet products, the business he implement offers the product that is

sweet, delicious but good for the purchaser health. Brie’s Brownies sells many kinds of

brownie products, such as classic brownies, and brownies bites and brownie chips. A

significant portion of Brie's Brownies' target market consists of students ages 10 and 23

1
(elementary to college); young professionals ages 24 to 30 are also the target market of

Brie’s Brownies

Vision

“Brie's Brownies is endowed with the exceptional taste of tasty brownies that will

promote healthy eating. The business’ vision is to soon be one of the best sources of

brownie products not only in the stated location but all over the Philippines as well. “

Mission

Our mission is to establish the first healthy and nutrient-rich but yet delicious,

brownie store. With the goal of making our customers' lives sweeter by providing

brownies that can be eaten anywhere and at any time. It seeks to provide a high-quality,

low-cost product that meets the demands of Brie's Brownies customers.

Branding Identity

The business logo showed a combination of black and brown shades, which is the

color of the business product. It highlighted the importance of diversity, inclusion, market

understanding, and collaborative efforts within the business landscape. The black and

brown shades also refer to a color transition or scheme used in a business logo design to

represent chocolate, which is a key ingredient in brownies. The logo incorporates darker

shades of brown and black to represent the richness and depth of chocolate. The

transition could signify the process of baking or the richness of the product; the upside-

down border between the text means the double letter "b" which serves as an acronym of

the business name.

VALUE PROPOSITION

Detailed Description of Product/Service

The main selling point of Brie's Brownies is brownies, and the success of the

business rests on how well they are made. The products available are Classic/Flavored

Brownies, Brownie Chips, and Brownies Bites. To ensure the quality of its products, this

business will strongly emphasize cleanliness and sanitation, use premium ingredients, and

always make sure that every pieces of brownie is baked to absolute perfection.

Innovations are important to the growth and success of the business. Starting off, this

business will provide a variety of options, from simple flavors to more decadent ones like

caramel and chocolate. Nowadays, aside from customers perceptions of the business

product, one thing important to them is the product packaging. It is important because a

product should always be presentable and eye-catching to make them purchase it. To

make the product presentable, the business will use packaging that is simple but elegant

in the customer's eyes. We will use a 9x6x2 box with a thank-you sticker and business

logo. The product will be made the night before business hours. So the customers may do

the pre-order and/or they can purchase through walk-in. For potential post-sales support,

we will give the purchaser thank-you notes and coupons, and we will let them give

feedback through word of mouth and/or feedback on our social media platforms. To drive

growth for Brie's Brownies, we will continue to serve the best quality and healthy variety

of brownie products to establish its uniqueness in the market and bring its name to

different parts of the Philippines.

them a favorite dessert for chocolate lovers. Our different brownie products are made

ingredients contain antioxidants, healthy fats, and essential nutrients that can provide

health benefits, like improved heart health and mood regulation. By focusing on these

aspects and consistently delivering high-quality, unique, and customer-oriented products,

Brie's Brownies can carve out a niche and differentiate itself effectively from competitors

in the market. Through these strengths and advantages, the business can position itself

competitively in the market, attract a loyal customer base, and create opportunities for

growth and expansion. This value proposition positively impacts the customers’ lives

since it provides health benefits to the customers.

7
MARKET AND COMPETITIVE ANALYSES

Market Analysis

The Brie's Brownies target market consists of students ages 10 and 23

(elementary to college). As well as young professionals ages 24 to 30 who love to eat

sweets with an approximate income of P10,000 a month in barangay Bakal I, Talavera,

Nueva Ecija. The population of this barangay is 2,671 according to the 2020 census. And

so, the potential demand was decreased by choosing a target market with a monthly

income of P10,000. According to estimates, a small percentage of potential demand is

met by people who possess that particular sum. Only 25% of Brie's Brownies' potential

demand is really being met annually, including students and young professionals with an

income of P10,000 and above. Because of this, brownies' commercial potential is not

very high.

Because of that, Brie's Brownies will seek an opportunity for expansion in its

target market. Since e-commerce is one of our channels, we will promote the business on

our social media platforms so that we may get orders online outside the business target

market.

Competitive Analysis

Because more consumers are getting interested in sweet products, the market for

brownies is truly flourishing, and this area of the food industry is growing. Despite being

the only brownie shop in the designated area, Brie's Brownies will face competition from

other bakeries and cake-designing businesses. The renowned "Cindy's" bakery and the

locally owned bakeries as well, the First Baker and Butter Land, are all located in the

same town. These competitors are located in the Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija,

8
which is to their advantage because of its high population and possible high potential

demand.

These indirect competitors of Brie's Brownies face severe rivalry because other

establishments in the target location offer the same product. However, the business has a

patent over the immediate competitor because it is the only business that sells unique

brownie items. The Businesses will face severe rivalry by creating large product

differences and economies of scale match the prices of the competitors. As a result, the

business might gain a competitive edge in the industry

MARKETING AND SALES STRATEGY

Sales Channels

Brie’s Brownies use a variety of strategies, including physical direct marketing to

customers. Word-of-mouth marketing is a highly effective marketing strategy. It is an

effective strategy of growing sales, marketing products and services, raising brand

recognition, and cultivating customer loyalty. We will also accept orders via social media;

a mobile number for the firm will be placed on the page, and customers will be able to

choose between pick-up and delivery. E-commerce marketing tactics employ promotional

methods to drive traffic to an online store. A well-planned marketing approach paired

with an appealing website may assist firms in converting visitors into paying customers,

retaining them, and increasing their overall customer lifetime value.

9
Pricing Strategy

We will use cost-based pricing since it is easy to calculate and apply, covers all

costs, and effectively explains price increases to consumers. Cost-based pricing

approaches perform effectively when combined with other pricing strategies, such as

value-based and competitor-based pricing strategies. It's also rather predictable. While

production expenses may fluctuate over time, firms may adjust their retail pricing to

reflect this, ensuring that they always maintain the same profit percentage. Furthermore,

cost-plus pricing ensures that a company never sells a product at a loss.

10
Go-to-Market Strategy

The marketing objectives of Brie's Brownies include increasing consumer

awareness, stimulating their interest and desire, and persuading them to make a purchase.

To entice customers, two strategies will be used: advertising and hosting a grand opening.

We will distribute fliers and coupons for our grand opening to get a discount as a

promotion, and we will use signage such as tarpaulin in our physical store. We will also

promote our business through posts on our pages on our social media platforms. Giving

away complimentary samples of the delicious sweets at the big event could pique

customer interest and increase demand. As they sample the delicious delicacies,

customers will be less reluctant to make a purchase. Consumer spending will increase

simply by raising awareness, interest, and desire among consumers, improving corporate

profits. The business must concentrate on public relations as well because of its small-

town location. Getting the community involved will be a very successful strategy to solve

the problem. By doing this, Brie's Brownies will increase its chances of getting

neighborhood recommendations as well as more local business. This will show the

business’ commitment to participating in and assisting the community, which is very

appealing to locals. It will also provide the business with positive publicity. Public

relations are essential to Brie's Brownies' success. The following figure shows the

promotional tools.
