Abstract

The researchers are working on a capstone project called A Costing and

Product Assessment Program for a Fast and Efficient Quotation for Safer

Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia. The system that the

proponents will be creating a costing and estimation transaction is what takes

place between a Company and a customer when a product or service is quoted

The study is distributed in the form of a sales quote. The system will

provide end users with two (2) levels of access. Administrator and User. To

access the system, each end user will need their individual registered Email

Address and Password. If the employee does not have an account, they can

create one by filling out the Registration form, and if they forget their password,

they can use the Forgot Password option. End users can browse the Homepage

and see a brief Product Details and shows the product list and the

recommended retail price, often known as the suggested retail price, is the price

at which the Company should sell. Also shows the Sales Quotes page, which

includes four (4) options: draw,

Excel should be exported, saved, and printed. It gives product characteristics for

selective racking systems and accessories, such as the brand name, variant,

and price of a product, as well as size, color, and other important information

consumers need to know before buying, and it also allows customers to buy the

item. The user should select a variation and give a sketch of the racking system

as well as sales quotes for the products the customer is purchasing. In this

instance,

Selective racking systems and accessories were acquired by the customer.

Export a summary of the whole product receipt and use Excel to calculate the

SSS RACKING DESIGN & costing software.

Storing goods on pallets is the most common method to manage

warehouse stock. Pallet racking is the most effective method of storing

pallets but understanding what type of structure is needed can sometimes

be confusing. Pallet racking is manufactured from steel, which can be a

costly commodity. Having an extensive range of products to choose from,

means that we can achieve the loading capacity you require, with a pallet

racking structure that suits your operation, in a cost-effective way. Our

systems can be easily configured in a variety of ways based on your needs

and pallet load, to ensure a functional and logical warehouse storage

solution for you. Whatever the industry, there’s a range of storage systems

that can provide optimal storage economics. From Drive-in Racking or

Mobile Racking (MOVO) for frozen and cold-store goods; to First-in, First-

out (FIFO) Pallet-flow systems for bulk goods such as those with a best

before date.

1.1. Safer Storage Systems create racking systems and

accessories that they offer

1.1.1. Selective racking

Not only is selective racking the most common configuration for

any warehouse, but this type of shelving also allows for the very best

view and accessibility to your stock. As the pallet locations are built into

single runs, either stand-alone (single entry) or back-to-back rows (double

entry), all pallets are aisle facing. This gives maximum visibility to your

products, as well as the ability for a forklift operator to select any product

at any one time. Beam levels are fully adjustable depending on the weight

and size of your products. In most cases, top beam levels can be

positioned up to 15 meters high, allowing for greater use of the height of

your warehouse

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
1.1.2. Double deep racking

Twice as deep as selective racking, a Double Deep Pallet Racking

configuration allows for the storage of two pallets per location and can be

stored a maximum of five levels above the ground. This saves on aisle

space and allows for an increased storage capacity in your warehouse.

Double Deep Racking systems can also increase picking efficiency – as

products are contained within a smaller area, they are easier to locate. To

access the

second pallet, a double deep forklift, or special forklift attachment

is needed. However once set up with this equipment, the benefits of this

storage configuration can outweigh this initial investment. These forks

can also be used to access pallets in other racking systems. Guide rails

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
are also added to the top beam levels to assist the drivers in lining up the

fork with the pallets sitting higher in the racking.

1.1.3. Narrow aisle

Narrow Aisle Racking offers a number of benefits. Available in

single or double deep depth racking configurations, this storage system

can accommodate pallets, boxes, mesh containers, and more. Beam

levels can be unique to each bay or consistent across the entire system,

giving you great flexibility around what and how you utilize your storage

space. Just like standard racking, additional frames and beams can be

added to your starter bays to adjust the configuration to adapt as your

business grows for extra capacity.

1.1.4. Mobile pallet racking (MOVO)

Mobile Racking (MOVO) is an electronically controlled, high load

racking system. It runs on in-ground rails with state-of-the-art sensor

technology for ease of use and safe operation. This Mobile Racking

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
System can double your storage capacity, eliminating the need for aisle

spaces. It is able to carry bay loads of up to 24 tonnes at racking heights

of up to 12 meters to maximize your storage space. Operate your

MOVO system via a touch screen with a clear graphical display that is

simple, yet powerful.

1.1.5. Pallet shuttle

Pallet Shuttle system offers a fast, accurate, and high-density

storage solution. The semi-automated system uses a pallet shuttle to

deliver and retrieve pallets from within the system, which means forklifts

do not need to enter the racking – reducing any risk of damage to the

structure itself. The Pallet Shuttle is operated by remote control to

provide a highly efficient alternative to live storage and drive-in racking.

Offering either first in,

First out (FIFO) or as Last in, Last out (LIFO) storage configuration

our Pallet Shuttle is ideal for cold storage and ambient applications, as

well as long-life food and beverage storage.

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
1.1.6. Drive-in

Drive-In pallet racking is very effective for the storage of large

quantities of the same or similar products. Our Drive-In storage system

provides maximum storage capacity with one of the lowest warehouse

footprints. Using a first-in, last-out (LIFO) picking structure, it is ideal for

high-density storage of products that are ordered into the warehouse in

large quantities and sold out to consumers quickly. Pallet trucks drive into

the “drive-in” channels to access or place pallets on the beams which run

straight out from the back of the system, unlike other pallet racking where

the beam levels run horizontally to the frames. Drive-in pallet racking also

ensures that pallets are well supported without the need to add mesh

decks, saving you costs on accessories and space.

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
1.1.7. Crane racking

ASRS, or Crane Racking as it is otherwise known, is an efficient

and fully automated storage and retrieval system. With narrow aisles

and heights of more than 30 meters, this solution offers efficient, high-

density storage for a large variety of pallets. Crane Racking adapts to

any warehouse with ease. From pallet load capacity and building

heights to storage cycle times and temperature control, this system is

designed for complete flexibility. As the name suggests, Crane Racking

is equipped with cranes, which are guided by a management software

system. The cranes travel along the aisles of the warehouse, then

automatically position themselves to extract the goods before delivering

each item to the front of the racking. It means warehouse staff does not

have to enter the racking to pick the goods, making it safe, fast, and

highly accurate. There is also the option for multi-deep configurations. A

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
shuttle can be added to the crane to assist with the retrieval or storage

of pallets. Crane racking can also be designed as part of a rack-clad

building.

The pallet racking structure forms the building frames to support the walls

and ceiling. Cladding is added directly onto the racking, which means that

every inch of the warehouse can be utilized for storage. These structures

are designed to handle external loads as well as support the crane and

racking.

2. Project Contexts

The system that the proponents will be creating a costing and

estimation transaction is what takes place between a Company and a

customer when a product or service is quoted, commonly using a

system to complete the transaction. Typically use of a system to

complete a sales quotation. In its most basic definition, a system is a

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
combination of hardware and software to create a machine for

processing a transaction.

Our system may include a digital SMS or email that can manage

the transaction, forgot password, and cloud service. This can be

accomplished with free online tools or paid software.

The system will be done by creating a costing transaction, drawing

output, a printable or pdf costing, and VB. NET language. Were the

program is set to create an organized costing and design or compute the

SSS RACKING DESIGN & costing program in excel and easily view the

costing program with details of racking materials and the description a

total of the said Item.

As a group we want to develop for efficient costing, less time,

conducting output, and execute with drawing and costing. This system is

more on quotes, purchase orders for fast and real-time, and the SSS

RACKING DESIGN & costing program can export and import into excel at

the same time. The process of improvement to cost-efficient and

knowledge by using it and correcting the error of mistaken data will be

given.

2.1. Log in and Log out Register (Security Module)

Create registration and login system in VB.NET language with

MySQL database. Furthermore, we create a login form and registration

for the company access only will be the admin to register the person.

Moreover, we create a MySQL connection file to establish a database

connection thru the price list and log in. Thus, we create a complete login

system with an interactive design and forgot password. The guarantee of

security will be highly protected due to the price list on the system.

2.2. Forgot Password

If the username is found in the database, a recovery mail is sent to

the user’s email. The recovery mail will have a link. The link’s essential

part is a hashed random secure token or by contacting the administrator

for further instruction.

2.3. Dashboard

3. Purpose and Description

Conducting efficient drawing and costing within the sales and

design team in the company. A small job can do this program even not

knowing racking can do a job of estimation and cost. The purposes of this

system are for the smaller job without contacting the designer and can

easily give the quotation to the customer within the site or meeting place.

It can choose a type of quotation by selecting a system or type in the

dashboard, also can execute a drawing of what type of the racking

system will be using of the client. Increasing the time management by

using it between the customer and client. Will be the use of the standard

of the company, stabilize the standard of the said company.

The program will be used by the sales and design team, even staff

that will need it. Especially those people will know the costing, qty and

others item will be needed in the project. This program knows how

capable will be using it without the person’s knowledge using it. A friendly

user program, just selecting the item and inputting the quantity numbers.

It will be showing the quotation on the right side of the program, and it

can be printed or pdf. Also, can be imported and exported the excel if an

additional change like customized item, freight is not indicated because of

changing the fee within the area.

4. Objective of the Study

The objective of this study is to improve the services of the said

company and to create an organized point-of-sale transaction or P.O.S

System, to compute the SSS RACKING DESIGN & costing program. In

excel and P.O.S to easily view the costing program with details of racking

materials and the description and the total of the said item for the efficient

costing, less time, conducting output and execute with drawing and

costing. This system is more on quotes, purchase orders for fast and real-

time, and the SSS RACKING DESIGN & costing program can be

exported and imported into excel at the same time.

Construction cost estimating is the process of forecasting the cost

of building a physical structure. Of course, builders and clients both worry

about the financial impact of cost overruns and failing to complete a

project. That’s why they devote time and effort to estimating how much a

project will cost before deciding to move forward with it. Clients

considering large projects often seek multiple cost estimates, including

those prepared by contractors and those calculated by independent

estimators.

Project owners use cost estimates to determine a project’s scope

and feasibility and to allocate budgets. Contractors use them when

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
deciding whether to bid on a project. You usually prepare estimates with

the input of architects and engineers to ensure that a project meets

financial feasibility and scope requirements.

A good cost estimate prevents the builder from losing money and

helps the customer avoid overpaying. It’s a core component of earned

value management, a project management technique that tracks a

project’s performance against the total time and cost estimate.

Creating a construction cost estimate is good practice for anyone

who cares about how much their project will cost. You routinely do cost

estimates for all kinds of construction projects, from building new

structures to remodeling.

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
Accurate estimates are especially critical for development projects,

which have budgets and timelines closely linked to paying back lenders

and generating revenue as early as possible. They are also essential for

large civil projects or mega-projects because of their sizable scope and

the potential involvement of public money. On a mega-project, small

miscalculations become magnified. In projects constructed with public

funds, cost estimates increase accountability, provide transparency, and

enhance trust in your ability to manage the project properly.

The accuracy of a cost estimate relies on a number of things: the

quality of the project plan; the level to which the estimator defines a

project; the experience and skill of the estimator; the accuracy of cost

information; and the quality of any tools and procedures the estimator

uses.

Depending on the type and size of a project, as well as the industry,

cost estimation may fall to one individual or a team, and estimators may

hold a number of different positions. For some construction projects,

contractors and subcontractors prepare the cost estimates, though this is

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
not regarded as best practice. At other times, the construction

salesperson will be responsible for creating an estimate. Architectural

firms may have in-house estimators, typically people who take on the

estimator’s function in addition to their primary role. Increasingly,

however, qualified independent estimators handle estimates against

which one verifies the contractor’s estimates.

For contractors, good cost estimates win jobs. Customers usually

select the lowest bid that meets the standards and specifications they set.

In a competitive bidding situation, the time and effort you spend preparing

the estimate are a cost of doing business and an investment in winning

the job. If urgency is a factor for a project, the speed at which you prepare

a bid can also be a differentiator.

5. Significance of the Study

The study will benefit the users because they can order and select

a material needed and easily visualize the product by the drawing/sketch

provided and they canvas the materials and view the total amount of the

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
product. This research would be beneficial to the sales and customer

benefit even the staff within the company can quote the cost of materials

and can manage the time without conducting a meeting with the design

team with standard material. Also, a system keeps track of transactions

between a retailer and a customer. This refers to both the hardware and

the software that is used. Instead of having separate systems for cash

registers,

Costing or cost benefits the exact amount or discounted price will

be given in the client, it can have a quantity material, list item and others

that should be requested or not by the client. It is useful in actual site

inspection while costing in the front of the client. Sales teams are the

majority will be using costing, they can estimate the materials even

without contacting the designer, as per the standard system will be using

it.

6. Scope and Limitation

This study focuses on the cost estimate and drawing output that

can use by the sales team without the help of the design team especially

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
the customer. The data collected will be used for costing whatever

materials should be needed by the client and sales can suggest at the

time of their meeting. The most important thing of the scope is to help the

staff to use it and familiarize them of the costing and materials have in the

company and what will be useful material to be delivered or installed in

the site.

The database is designed for the item price list, parts code,

description to enable them easily to produce the information required in

the costing. User and admin have always the name, contact number,

email, and password. The level of access of user and admin, while the

user access only the costing can’t change the price list and parts code,

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer

and for the admin can manage all item for the updated price and parts

code. Data should be stored in safer places like the cloud to ensure the

previous file can be saved and retrieved if any chance of loss.

information is relayed upon by the journal of B. M. Tapado and M.

E. T. Delluza, “Equipment Inventory Management System (EIMS).”

2.1.3. The goal of this project was to pinpoint and resolve issues

with inventory management and sales management. In terms of

their business processes, business industries have met numerous

issues. Jorona Aquatic Resources and International Trading, Inc.

is a Philippine-based corporation that sells aquatic resources both

globally and domestically.

Quality service, efficient marketing techniques, communication,

and security were all challenges for the aforementioned

organization. During the proponents' investigation, they discovered

flaws that slowed corporate procedures and may have hampered

the quick growth of income. They discovered that an Integrated

Sales and Inventory Management system solved the company's

present issues. They talked about how much the system would

cost, how it would work, what benefits the organization would

receive if they implemented it, and how it would affect the staff.

The article of J. B. N. Cambronero, N. A. F. Labadan, H. K. D.

Labio, R. J. B. Redoña, and B. J. F. Salarda, “Integrated Sales and

Inventory Management System Implemented In Three-Tier

Architecture” expound the Sales and Inventory Management

System that is currently under operation on a three-tier

architecture, and how it affects the business that revolves around

it.

2.1.4. Inventory management will continue to be a concern for any

company that deals with tangible items and the materials

necessary to manufacture them. The more complicated the

inventory management process becomes, the larger the company

and the more diverse its product range. Many businesses owners

regard inventory management as nothing more than a headache,

despite the fact that it is their key to maximizing profits. In the

article,” Understanding the importance of inventory management

system” posted on the website, www.ansi.ph, tackles the four

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
points that demonstrate the need of a good inventory management

system.

2.1.5. You can quickly enjoy considerable financial benefits by

effectively controlling your inventory. Tracking inventory expenses,

monitoring earnings, anticipating inventory, and forecasting

changes in the prices of goods for sale are all examples of such

advantages. According to the article of dvphilippines.com,

“Knowing the accounting inventory management basics”, there are

five ways to familiarize yourself in inventory management,

especially when you are just a starter in the field.

2.2. Local Studies

2.2.1. The majority of today's corporate organizations are utilizing

cutting-edge technology to streamline their transactions and

elevate their company processes to new heights. They are

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
currently using automated methods to handle their transactions

based on their requirements. One of the most widely utilized

systems in many organizations is the point-of-sale system. It aids

in the improvement of the process and the speeding up of

consumer transactions. Fast-food chains, pharmacies, grocery

stores, and other businesses that need to track transactions, sales,

and financial status frequently employ point of sale systems. The

work of N. Tienzo, “POS in the Philippines”, discusses the impact

of the point-of-sale system on our country's transactions.

2.2.2. Having a Point-of-Sale System (POS System) rather to a

Manual Ordering System has numerous benefits. The term "point

of sale" refers to the technology that a customer uses to deliver

payment information in exchange for good service. According to

the study of L. B. Tobongbanua, J. R. S. Magalona, T. F.

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
Martizion, V. B. Montecastro, and J. L. G. Sangangeles, it speeds

up the transaction process and generates more revenue for the

organization.

2.2.3. Since the rise of electronic and automated systems, the use

of manual procedures in business has decreased. Indeed,

because of the increased productivity and efficiency of data

processing, computer-based business systems are now widely

used in both developed and developing countries around the

world. M. M. Balangue, A. S. E. Cainoy, L. M. C. Celestino, C. O.

J. Gallardo, and A. B. Landicho conducted a study regarding the

issue on sales and inventory of stocks of a company.

They are looking to a more methodical approach of doing sales

and inventory. For them, the manual system produces wrong data

most of the time, which might result in a loss of business. They get

the idea of producing approximates because of their lethargy

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
throughout the regular method of recording items. 'Alternatively,

the proponents propose a computer-based sales and inventory

system to track all stockpiles and impending items.

2.2.4. An inventory system is a useful tool for keeping track of the

various materials that are moved in and out of a company's

warehouse or location, primarily for accounting purposes. In order

to keep track of all of its stocks, a corporation must also keep track

of all transactions and movement of items. However, at certain

establishments, material inventory is done manually, with an

employee writing down the information of various goods every time

they are carried in and out of the room. It is tackled on the study

performed by Romblon State University, Cajidiogan, Romblon.

2.2.5. The goal of the study by L. N. L. Baylen, was to see how

successful inventory management is. To provide suggestions and

solutions to the challenges that they meet in their day-to-day

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
operations, the system that caused the decline in profit of the

randomly selected small-sized restaurants in the four districts of

Quezon province was used. The data for this descriptive study was

gathered using both quantitative and qualitative methods. A poll of

the restaurant staff was undertaken, as well as an interview with

restaurant owners. The acquired data were analyzed and

interpreted using weighted mean, frequency, and percentage.

2.3. Foreign Literature

2.3.1. In the e-book, “Design for manufacturability: How to use

concurrent engineering to rapidly develop low-cost, high-quality

products for Lean Production” D.M. Anderson, clarifies the idea of

the plan of manufacturability and depicts the potential issues that

can be kept away when manufacturability is carried out.

Creating items utilizing simultaneous designing is one of the best

ways of delivering. It expects groups to have an early and dynamic

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
investment, everything being equal. Concurrent engineering is truly

an edge in manufacturability.

2.3.2. In the cutting-edge time, digital deals are one of the most

pursued advertising procedures and business styles. During the

pandemic, digital deals – internet selling, and web-based

promoting began to develop. Regarding to the journal of Y. Robul,

O. Deineha, M. Prokopenko, O. Lukianykhina, and N.

Baistriuchenko, “Cyber Sales as The Latest Tool For Optimizing

An Enterprise Strategy”, chatbots or programmed answers are

utilized for the specialized association of deals cost and

improvement on work of customers.

2.3.3. “Artificial Intelligence and its Role in Near Future”, a work by

G. Rupesh and S. Choudaiah tackles the role of Artificial

Intelligence in the near future. The intelligence agents that contain

devices that perceive the environment and its reaction depend on

the perceptions to augment objective achievement. As Artificial

Intelligence can learn and foresee, it is a major assistance to the

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
public. As time passes by, the future for Artificial Intelligence and

its users is significant.

2.3.4. Choosing an appropriate contractor to deal with your

construction is a significant undertaking in the development of the

construction. Decision Making in Contractor Selection: AHP and

Expert Choice Approach”, by N. M. Shajina, handles the

significance of choosing the appropriate contractor. The nature of

the structure is depended on your chosen contractor as they select

their colleagues, such as engineers, architects, designers, and the

construction team, and buy all the materials required. This will

likewise guarantee your safety as you appreciate utilizing your

developed structure.

2.3.5. Development projects have turned into signs of monetary

development. It is probably the biggest business on the planet. R.

Ranjan and Dr. G. A. Hinge researched the practices that need to

be adapted for the construction to be at its best. In their research

“Project Quarterback Rating to Assess Performance of

Construction Project”, they recognized the five key factors that are

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
critical to the accomplishment of the development. The analysis of

the exploration expressed that development projects are regularly

going about as an impetus to the advancement of nations. The

aftereffect of their analysis will be helpful to those organizations,

which are doing various ventures to choose the best performer and

adopt the best practices followed by that task in their future

projects.

2.3.6. Price, Quality, and Delivery are the three fundamental

parameters that determine the sales ability of the company. The

need for labor and products by the clients ought to be provided of

acceptable quality or be available by a particular time that it will be

a value for worth of cash. Clients are the ones that will move and

upgrade the organization, as they are the ones that will create

income for the organization. The organization should deal with its

clients since they will just exist due to their clients as they will just

return on account of being happy with their items or services. The

study “Automotive Quality Management System”, by D. Chandok

and O. P. Tiwari, explains the effect of customers on the company,

and how it will affect the management of the business.

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
2.4. Foreign Studies

2.4.1. The research “Effect of Storage Systems on the

Organizational Performance: Study of Holdings within Kisumu City”

conducted by O. B. Odhiambo and J. Janet clarifies the

significance of having decent working stockpiling frameworks

inside an association. The target of their examination was to

guarantee proficient capacity frameworks implied for working on

the presentation of association. By deciding the various sorts of

capacity frameworks to what sort of capacity framework does

every association need, demonstrates the connection between the

hierarchical benefit and the capacity of each framework.

2.4.2. Choosing the proper sort of capacity frameworks, to how

much limit it can hold inside the permitted space, the study

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
“Automated or Manual Storage Systems: Do Throughput and

Storage Capacity Matter?” of N. Zaerpour, R. Volbeda, and A.

Gharehgozli will help you to fully understand the situation. They

clarify the various potential outcomes and results that affect the

choice of what kind of capacity framework you will make. The

distribution center necessities, stockpiling limit, throughput, and

what sort of item you will store, impact the choice of the stockroom

supervisor or warehouse manager.

2.4.3. “Storage is an important aspect of every business, thus

every company needs to make maximum utilization of their space”

– quoted sentence from their study, “Enhancing the storage

capacity by utilizing vertical space using mezzanine flooring in a

small-scale industry”. A. Mukunda, K. Anjulakshmi, S. D. Kulkarni,

T. Navya, and R. J. Shivakumar propose the upward stockpiling

frameworks utilizing mezzanine flooring as an appropriate

stockpiling arrangement of limited scope enterprises.

A few enterprises cannot have and oblige adequate material for

creation because of their restricted spaces. Vertical stockpiling is

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
one method for solving this sort of issue since it will make sufficient

capacity for their materials.

2.4.4. The capacity to plan and dispatch items quickly is a benefit

of lean enterprises. They for the most part have quicker reflexes

than their large-scale manufacturing partners do. The “Supply

Chain Development for the Lean Enterprise” study by R. Cooper

and R. Slagmulder produced by The IMA Foundation for Applied

Research, Inc., demonstrates the distinctive methodology creation

organizations are utilizing. They likewise separate the advantages

and disadvantages of every creation approach.

2.4.5. Technology continues to upgrade every time. In the

research conducted by S. T. Ponis and O. K. Efthymiou, “Cloud

and IoT Applications in Material Handling Automation and

Intralogistics”,

they concentrated on the present status of the workmanship and

recognize significant patterns and exploration weaknesses. In the

A Costing and product assessment program for a fast and efficient

quotation to be used by the sales and design team for Safer
Storage Systems of Dandenong South, Australia Page
wake of leading their examination, they concentrated on the huge

changes that are in progress for stockrooms and intralogistics

offices.

2.4.6. In this review, three issues will be solved using two

techniques, and three arrangements are delivered. The work of S.

Santoso, J. Kauf, and N. C. Aristo, “The Information System of

Name Card Sales Based On Digital Marketing To Improve

Creativepreneur On College E-Commerce Website, explains the

benefit of having an e-commerce website. Having an internet

business site helps the deals and showcasing of their item as it

tends to be accessed anytime and in any place.

System Architecture

The system’s architecture is designed to cater to common devices such

as computers and tablets, with a simple architecture, it will be easy for users and

administrators alike to access the system. The system is focused on the

database which is a huge part of the system; it will process and record all the

data given by all users. With the database not working properly, every single

document processed would go to waste. It also shows that whatever handles the

database also plays a huge part and because the architecture is not based on

the cloud, one system failure on the database side of the architecture would ruin

the entire system.

Requirement Analysis

In the first phase of the product development cycle, the customer's needs

are understood. The research phase involves in-depth communication with the

customer to understand what he wants and what his requirements are. This

phase involves communicating with the customer to understand his expectations

and exact requirement. This is a very important activity and needs to be

managed properly, because most customers are not sure what they need.

System Design

Once you have the complete product requirements, it is time to design

the system. The system design will include the understanding of the complete

hardware, communications, and product development. The system test plan is

developed using the system design.

Architectural Design

The architectural specifications are understood and designed in this

phase. The final decision is made after a number of potential approaches have

been proposed for consideration. The system is broken down into modules that

cover different functionalities.

Module Design

It is important that the design is compatible with other modules of the

system architecture and other external systems. Tests are an essential part of

any development process and will help eliminate the maximum faults and errors

at a very early stage.

Coding Phase

The design of the system modules is completed in the design phase, and

the actual coding is completed in the coding phase. The best programming

language to use is the one that is being used for the research: VB.NET for the

main language and for the back-end MySQL.

Unit Testing

Unit tests designed in the module design phase are executed on the code

during this validation phase. Unit testing is the testing at a code level and can

help eliminate bugs at an early stage, though all defects cannot be uncovered by

unit testing.

Integration Testing

Integration testing is an important and associated part of the architectural

design phase. Integration tests are performed to test the coexistence and

communication of the internal modules within the system, which are designed to

work together.

System Testing

System testing is related to the design phase of a system. System tests

check the entire system functionality and the communication of the system

under development with external systems. Most of the software and hardware

compatibility issues can be uncovered at this system test execution

Acceptance Testing

Acceptance testing is associated with the business requirements analysis

phase and requires you to test your product in your environment. Even if the

system is open to the public, researchers need to monitor the system and

continue to monitor it until it performs its function.

Development and Testing

In the development of the proposed system, it requires planning, analysis

requirements, maintenance and update. To build the system, the proponent

used Visual Basic .NET (VB.NET) as their main computer programming

language for the desktop application. In addition, Microsoft MySql also added for

its relational database management system.

Testing occurs the development system because it validated that the

system fully functions and working smoothly. The following method having use

in the system and procedure of the following: End to End Testing, Integration

Testing, Performance Testing, Sanity Testing, Security Testing, Unit Testing and

White Box Testing.

End to End Testing is a technique that tests the entire software product

from beginning to end to ensure the application flow behaves as expected. It

defines the product’s system dependencies and ensures all integrated pieces

work together as expected.

Integration Testing is the process of testing the interface between two

software units or module. It’s focus on determining the correctness of the

interface. The purpose of the integration testing is to expose faults in the

interaction between integrated units. Once all the modules have been unit

tested, integration testing is performed.

Performance Testing is a technique that focus on how a system running

the system perform under a particular workload. IT and tester in creating a

performance testing environment in the system.

Sanity Testing is a technique performed by the test team for some basic

test, to aim of a basic test is too concerned the bugs are fixed and no further

issued by the I.T personnel.

Security Testing is a technique to ensure the vulnerabilities of the system

are free from any threats or risk. Protects data and maintain functionality of the

system.

Unit Testing is an initial stage product testing technique where small units

or components of the products are tested individually. The small unit can be an

individual function, method, procedure, module, or object. This Individual testing

guarantees that every unit of the product is performing expectedly.

White Box Testing is a technique that is based on application internal

code structure of internal perspective of system are used to design test cases

and this testing usually is done by the IT Personnel.

the sales team, design team and other staff to easily quote and track their

working job. The administrator will be assigned to register the user to use it the

system they will want to, and also track their create job. For the maintenance

and update of the system is created friendly user. There will be a letter of

agreement that the system will hand over to the company freely, but hardware

devices will provide by the company.

There will be a guidebook to how use it and also conduct the training and

procedure within the sales team and design team. The following training will be

conducted 2 days to familiarize the workflow of the system, especially those who

want to use it that never have costing and product assessment.

The goal of the study by L. N. L. Baylen, was to see how successful inventory

management is. To provide suggestions and solutions to the challenges that

they meet in their day-to-day operations, the system that caused the decline in

profit of the randomly selected small-sizedsized restaurants in the four districts

of Quezon province was used. The data for this descriptive study was gathered

using both quantitative and qualitative methods. A poll of the restaurant staff

was undertaken, as well as an interview with restaurant owners. The acquired

data were analyzed and interpreted using weighted mean, frequency, and
