IF WE ARE A LEADER

Leadership is one of the many factors that is very important to be applied in life,
especially in this 21th century. Leadership is the most fundamental modal and
basic for leaders.
According to Yukl, Northouse, and Grint, leadership is using effect to make
someone or people to do something in order to achieve particular goals.
Leaderrship has some elements, those are leaders, followers, influences, and aims.
Leader is the person who leads or commands a group, organization, or even
country. Leader is very crucial in leadership because this element will organize a
small or even a big circle of people so that the people in that group can run their
jobs well to maintain their group. Besides, they also can achieve their aims.
Without the leader, it won’t goes well. In leading or commanding the followers is
not an easy job to do, because people have different characteristic and they can’t
be treated with the same treatment as the leader has. The second one is followers.
Leader cannot stand alone. Officially, leader definitely will needs followers to
help him or her or to be his or her hands to do jobs. Without followers, the goals
of a group, organization, and country will long achieved. The next one is
influences. Influences is the capacity to have an effect on the character,
development, or behavior of someone or something, or the effect itself. The
intended influences are legitimacy, reward, compulsion, skills, charisma, and
authority. Without influences of leadership, we will difficult to have a relation
with other and difficult to express our existence. The last one is aims. Of course,
this element is very important in leadership since in leading, a leader surely has
goals to be achieved.
Leadership is very crucial for us to face this era. Without high fighting spirit, we
won’t be able to be a great and excellent leader.
