CONTENT STANDARD:
The learner gain mastery on the proper practice in evaluating and controlling
hazards and risks in computer hardware servicing.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learners use the tips on proper practice in evaluating and controlling hazards
and risks in computer hardware servicing.

ESSENTIAL UNDERSTANDING:
1. Through Evaluating and Controlling hazards and risks, an individual can be able
observe the proper working conditions on the regular use of computers.
ESSENTIAL QUESTION:
How important to evaluate and control hazards and risks in computer hardware
servicing?

LEARNING COMPETENCIES:
The learners should be able to:
1. Control hazards and hazards and risks in relation to the working environment;
2. Exhibit appreciation on the importance of Good working posture and healthy
working area or computer workstation;

The students will sum up the previous topics discussed.

II. LESSON PROPER


A. Explore (20 minutes)
1. Present the essential question.
2. Present the Lesson Objectives.
3. Motivation
Instruct the students to list down at least 10 specific problems that
they experienced in relation to the use of computers. After finalizing
the list, they should rank them from 1 (most serious) to 10 (least
serious). The teacher will call some students to read their list,
Students may also volunteer.

B. Firm-Up (80 minutes)

 Discuss with the students the hazards and risks that may result on the regular
use of computers
 Enumerate and explain good working positions or postures when using
computers.
 Demonstrate to the students the four reference postures when performing
computer – related tasks.
 Discuss with the students the general considerations for the work area or
workstation, and relate it with one’s personal preference
 Remind the students that they can control hazards and risks within the working
environment.
 Discuss and differentiate the methods of controlling hazards and risks, and
monitoring and reviewing hazards control program and methods

C. Deepen (30 minutes)


 Ask the students to demonstrate the different postures in performing computer
tasks.

D. Transfer (50 minutes)


 Ask the students how to evaluate and control hazards and risk.

E. Summary of the Lesson (10 minutes)


The students will share their ideas about the correct postures when using
computer

F. Assignment/Agreement:
1. Instruct the students to accomplish the written exercise on the book
