TO TST MANAGEMENT AND SPLASH PHIL.,

It is with deepest regret that we, the crew of MV GLOBAL SYMPHONY has come to a consensus to
file this formal complaint against our Chief Officer onboard, C/O JETHRO LYOVAC PAPIO.
During the first 3 months after the crew change in Onsan Korea, we finally came into conclusion that
the agitated harmony within the vessel even before the crew change is caused by our Chief Officer’s
shortcomings.
Let this letter testify to the complaint filed by his former crewmate Boatswain Eduardo Lacurom be
true and instead C/O Papio’s flawed reputation is definitive.
Statements below are the following complaints of our crew;
1. Safety first is a golden rule onboard a ship but the safety of the crew members seems to be not in
his immediate interest especially when working aloft, during heavy weather, he even obliged the
crew to do stevedoring work ashore without proper arrangements compromising our safety.
2. He lacks initiative when it comes to prioritizing his crew’s safety and welfare as well as the absence
of compassion towards his subordinates as a leader among the deck department
3. He does not possess self-discipline when it comes to doing his tasks thus resulting to passing some
of his responsibility to the crew and this is also because of his poor time management, it seems like
he hasn’t yet grasp the rhythm of being a Chief Officer for giving specific job orders every day
seems to be a difficult task for him to handle resulting to unfinished deck works.
4. Stability under pressure is observed to be one of his greatest weakness that greatly affects the
crews’ work rhythm thus he is always unable to react quickly with good judgement.
5. His unprofessional actuations seem to be out of control for he always flaunts his infidelity with pride
and this is very disturbing. How can he be a role model amongst his crew members if he can’t
posses a finesse figure and pleasing personality
6. He also lacks management when it come to his crew’s concerns and commotions for he doesn’t
have the backbone to confront such matters proof that he still has a lot of room to improve given
he’s already on the management level onboard.
7. He does not possess any sense of accountability thus whenever there are problems onboard, it is
his habit to always point fingers to other people even though he is the one accountable on such
matters.
8. His abundance of arrogance and undisputable display of strong self-confidence makes up for his
inadequate humility and absence of benevolence combined with his childish behavior.
It is with immediate urgency that C/O Papio should be notified of his obnoxious and repulsive behavior
onboard and we look forward that the good company will see into this matter with utmost sincerity.
