The Foreword
Praise be to our gratitude for the presence
of God Almighty who gave us gifts and
opportunities to learn.

This biography tells about a famous person

from Bataknese. He is Raditya Dika Nasution,
or who is familiarly called Radit.
I know Radit from a movie called "Koala Kumal". I
am interested in the style of language used by
Radit, the contemporary style because it is
specifically for today's young people. I picked up
Raditya's biography because his career was not
easy. But the struggle was not in vain. Some of the
works he has made have brought Raditya up. The
interesting thing about his work is the unique
titles.

This biography always requires wisdom in the

form of suggestions, admonitions, and
constructive criticism for optimal results.
Finally, no matter how small the contribution
that can be made from this biography may be
useful.

Birth Name : Dika Angkasaputra Moerwani Nasution

Parents : Joeslin Nasution and Tetty Nasution

Religion : Islam

Occupation: Writer,Comedian, director & actor

Education :
Tarakanita Middle School
High School 70 Bulungan

Department of Political Science in University of
Indonesia
It all started with a blog

At first, Raditya Dika, who was still

studying and a student abroad, at the
University of Adelaide, Australia, liked to
write blogs containing stories of his daily
life. The blog, which used to be named
www.kambingjantan.com, has since changed the
name of its website to its own name Raditya
Dika, namely www.radityadika.com.

The blog, which was originally just a place

for him to vent everyday, unexpectedly opened
the door to his success. Let alone just being
a writing to express his heart, the blog has
many fans and even won an award at the
Indonesian Blog Award and an award from
Indosat as The Online Inspiring in 2009. This
makes him even more enthusiastic in writing
and creating, because it brings influence,
impact and benefits for readers and many
people.

Now, the blog has become access to Radit's

YouTube account.
The process of publishing his first novel which
was rejected by many publishers

Dika finally wrote his first novel inspired by

stories on his blog entitled Kambing Jantan:
Sebuah Catatan Harian Pelajar Bodoh, which was
written when he was 21 years old. But is
publishing his first novel as easy as his blog's
success? The answer is no. Many publishers
refuse to publish their novels. And after
searching here and there, finally the publisher
Gagasmedia was willing to accept the manuscript
even though he needed to make a presentation
first.

After Kambing Jantan, Raditya Dika wrote several

more novels including Cinta Brontosaurus, then
followed by Radikus Makankakus: Bukan Binatang
Biasa (2007), Babi Ngesot: Datang Tak Diundang
Pulang Tak Berkutang (2008), Marmut Merah Jambu
(2010), and Manusia Setengah Salmon (2011).
After writing several of these books, Raditya
Dika's writing style became known and received a
lot of praise from the Indonesian people, and
soon he had many fans.
Marketing strategy in selling the novel

After his first novel was published, it did not

necessarily make the sales of his novel increase
rapidly. In fact, it can be said that sales of
his first novel in the first few months did not
sell well. Seeing this, Dika racked his brain so
that the sales of his novels increased. He then
carried out a sales strategy by word of mouth so
that the promotion of his novel could be known to
more people. Then he also asked buyers to take
pictures with the novel to be sent to the blog.
As a result, the sales of his novels have
increased.

Maybe, the strategy that Dika used in the past

seemed more difficult because social media and
technological developments weren't as fast as
they are now, guys. Therefore, those of us who
are already in the digital age like today should
be able to be more advanced in promoting our
businesses and works.
Finally penetrated into the cinema

The best-selling novel Raditya Dika made film

producers interested in turning their writings
into feature films. In 2009, his first feature
film titled Kambing Jantan, the novel that
catapulted his name was released. Not only as a
player, he is also a screenwriter of the film.

Not only Kambing Jantan, several of his novels

have also been made into feature films, namely
Cinta Brontosaurus, Manusia Setengah Salmon,
Marmut Merah Jambu. All of the film's stories are
about a love story that always runs aground.
What's more, he had an affair with actress and
singer Sherina who often became the inspiration
for his works.

In terms of feature films, Dika once set a film

audience record of up to 2.6 million viewers when
he worked on the film Hangout in 2016.
Acting in his own YouTube comedy
series

Maybe many artists think that if you

don't have your own YouTube program
that periodically airs, then your
title as an artist is not complete
today. Raditya Dika has proven this
that apart from making feature films,
he also makes his own YouTube shows,
namely Miko's Sunday Night and Comic
Story. On Miko's Sunday Night, Dika
again acted as producer, story writer
and director. This YouTube show takes
the theme of love with a lot of
humor.

Raising a story about the love life

of a young man named Miko who is
always unlucky, this event invites
many viewers and subscribers who make
Raditya Dika's name soar as a top
YouTuber.
Influential as well as a national comedian

Not only as a writer, film actor, screenwriter

and others. Dika also ventured into a
comedian, a term for people who do stand-up
comedy art. Not just a ride through as a
comedian. The content of his head full of
creative and funny things made him a mainstay
comedian in the country, and made him a judge
on Stand Up Comedy Indonesia on Kompas TV and
Stand Up Comedy Academy on Indosiar.

He is indeed an expert in playing this single

comedy. His name may be equivalent to
comedians who have big names and are
successful in this field such as Pandji
Pragiwaksono or Ernest Prakasa. Raditya Dika
seems to have learned the science of stand up
when he was studying in Australia, by taking a
short stand up course. This makes Dika a lot
of inspiration for other comedians who want to
enter the stand-up comedy field. In fact,
there is the term "raditism" which is a stand-
up style like Raditya Dika among Indonesian
comics.
Married and Blessed with a pair of children, a boy
and a girl

After changing partners and finding the right

match, Raditya Dika finally decided to marry Anissa
Aziza, a celebrity who played in the soap opera,
Tukang Bubur Naik Haji The Series. Even though they
are 10 years apart in age, that doesn't stop them
from moving up the ladder of marriage.
Raditya Dika and Anissa Aziza's first child is a
female named Alinea Ava Nasution who was born on 6
May 2019. While the second child is a male named
Aksara Asa Nasution who was born on 3 November
2020. Seeing that they have been blessed with a
pair of sons -boy and girl, he is very happy and
his joy is implied in his Instagram post, where he
tells the process of the birth of his second child.
