Job description:
 Manage processes to ensure the service is delivered in a timely and efficient manner advising relevant senior
management of potential issues arising.
 Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and propose effective solutions in order that the
operational teams can operate in an efficient and cost effective manner.
 Monitor internal controls to ensure that proper segregation of duties exists and systems and process controls are
evaluated on an on-going basis. Maintain controls to a state of audit readiness at all times.
 Lead, coach and develop staff so that teams function effectively, efficiently and safely.
 The AP Manager will be responsible for providing core transactional services to the BU’s, ensuring Key
Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are met and service is delivered to internal and external customers as required and
will be responsible for managing all issues which need to be escalated.
 Resolve queries and complaints by co-coordinating between relevant BU’s, functions and external parties.
 Report and advice on month and year end positions to the relevant BUs and Treasury functions to enable
management to make informed decisions on working capital.
 Ensure ERP is updated with legislative and bespoke developments.
 Become familiar with applicable health and safety legislation as well as safety rules and ensure all employees
perform their duties in compliance with the rules and regulations.
 Hold employees accountable for their health and safety responsibilities. Actively discourage shortcuts and
consistently and fairly enforce safe work procedures.
 Provide continuous on the job instruction in safe work procedures and instruct employees in the use and care of
personal protective equipment.
 Follow H&S rule, compliance with all regulations and guidelines on health and safety at work.

Accountabilities and competences:
The AP Manager will be responsible for providing professional, value added, cost effective services to the
Business Units (BU’s) and is responsible for developing and managing short and long term objectives to ensure
Service Level Agreements are met and service is delivered to internal and external customers as expected.

Additional responsibilities:

The jobholder has a key role ensuring the management of the Purchase to Pay/AP team, process and results on a day-to-
day basis to achieve the agreed service provided to Lear BU’s.

 Responsibility for ensuring work safety, work discipline and order in the workplace, compliance with H&S
rules, regulations and guidelines on health and safety at work.

 Responsibility for carrying out activities in the required quality and in accordance with generally binding
legal regulations and internal regulations of the company.

 Responsibility for the utilization of labor resources entrusted to use for their work in accordance with the
generally binding legal regulations and internal regulations of the company.
