Cabinet Installtion

Description
Ensure all machines used for cutting, fabricating, and polishing cabinets are thoroughly
inspected for malfunctions or loose parts.
Check for any signs of malfunction in machines; replace if necessary.

1 Raw Materials Inspection

Inspect all components for damages such as dents, chips, and loose threads.

Label defective raw materials and dispose of them accordingly.

2 General

Verify the dimensions and design of cabinets according to specifications.

Check for any damages or scratches on cabinet surfaces.

3 Door Hardware Inspection:

Thoroughly inspect hinges and other hardware for any anomalies or defects.

4 Dividers Inspection:

Ensure dividers are free from damages or pre-production anomalies.

5 Sliders Inspection:

Inspect sliders for completeness and proper functioning.

6 Wood Inspection:

Check wood pieces for splinters, holes, dents, and any other pre-production anomalies.

7 Prefabricated Glass Inspection:

Inspect prefabricated glass for cracks, damages, blisters, and other anomalies.

8 Prefabricated Steel Inspection:


Ensure steel panels are dent and damage-free; check for signs of corrosion on fire-proof steel
panels.
9 Assembly Inspection:

Thoroughly inspect the assembly line for potential errors.

Salvage items showing production anomalies and redirect them appropriately.

Ensure cabinet hardware (hinges, handles, etc.) is properly installed.

Inspect cabinet doors for proper fit and functionality.

Check the installation and alignment of shelves and drawers.

Test cabinet doors and drawers for smooth operation.

10 Visual Inspection:
Conduct in-depth visual inspection of finished cabinets for wear, damage, cracks, blisters,
bubbles, or any other flaws.
Identify cabinets according to product code and specifications for proper segregation and
distribution.
11 Surface Inspection:

Inspect surface quality and coating (if applicable) of each cabinet.

Ensure smooth surfaces internally and externally to prevent splinters and water damage.

Perform proper re-coating if any cabinet fails the coating analysis.

12 Weight and Measurement Inspection:


Accurately measure and weigh cabinets to ensure they meet product specifications.

Enforce indication of maximum gross weight by manufacturers for documentation purposes.

Discontinue items exceeding the weight limit.

13 Final Inspection:

Conduct a series of tests including weight capacity tests and structural integrity tests.

Dispose of items failing the final inspection process.

Door Frame Installtion

6 Wall type is per the drawings and matches frame throat depth.

7 Verify the quality and smoothness of door surfaces.

8 Door swing direction has been confirmed.

9 Wall is in good condiiton and suitable to support the frame.

10 Access is clear and safe, temporary access has been provided as required.

11 Backing has been installed as required. Steel, if required has been installed.

12 Fastening methods have been confirmed with drawings and details.


All walls and ceilings have been confirmed plumb and square / are within tolerances for for

14 Frame prep has been verified against hardware schedule.

15 Material datasheets have been reviewed for any specific quality requirements.

Post-Installation

1 Door frame has been installed per drawings and specifications

Frame has been installed correctly - plumb / flush / and solidly fastened to wall.

Plum bob is used for correct alignment
Check all locks and knobs to ensure they work properly.

5 Temporary frame supports are in place.

Cabinets:

Inspect any integrated features such as shelves or lighting fixtures.

Test the overall structural integrity of the feature wall.

Media Walls:

Verify the dimensions and design of the media wall.

Inspect the installation of media components (TV mounts, shelves, etc.).

Ensure proper cable management for AV equipment.

Check for any damages or defects in the media wall structure.

Test the functionality of media equipment and connections.

Verify that the media wall meets any specific client requirements.

MEP Points:

Check electrical points for proper installation and functionality.

Inspect rope lights for correct placement and functionality.

Verify TV points for proper wiring and connectivity.

Check other MEP points (such as plumbing fixtures) for proper installation and functionality.

Ensure all MEP points are installed according to design plans and specifications.

Test functionality of all MEP points to ensure they meet project requirements.
