Do's And Don'ts Of Handling Of Colour Coated Sheet

Dos of Fixing
• Do check the delivery to make sure you have the right product, delivered in prime condition.
• Do arrange for suitable dry storage if the material is not going to be used immediately.
• Do ensure the appropriate fasteners are selected for the environment.
• Do cut with shears or snips.
• Do remove swart from the job as the work progresses, or at least at the end of each day.
• Do wear clean, flat, rubber-soled footwear.
• Do lift sheets onto the job, rather than drag them.
• Strictly avoid surface abrasion by walking / rubbing / dragging/etc. over the coated area. It will damage the
coatings.
Do nots of fixing
• Don't cut sheets with an abrasive disc cutter.
• Don't attempt to solder pre painted steel surfaces.
• Don't use lead-headed nails.
• Don't use touch-up paints unless recommended by our experts.
• Don't leave off-cuts or other debris on the roof.
• Don't keep sheets bundle exposed to water / moisture
Care-post installation
Regular care and maintenance will ensure full life service of the product.

WATER PONDING :
Roofs :
l Where the roof pitch is low, changes in roof loadings may result in a negative pitch and consequently lead to
water ponding. The following conditions commonly cause water ponding.
1. Over-spaced purlins.
2. Deformation of timber purlins.
3. Placement of external loads such as air conditioning units.
4. Rigid fixing on long spans which causes deformation of the profile as a result of thermal expansion.
Design Guide :
1 Never use a pitch of less than 3 degrees.
2. Design the roof according to the profile manufacturer's specifications.
3. On minimum pitch roofs, ensure that the gutter end of profiled sheets is turned down.
4. Allow for thermal expansion to prevent profile distortion.
5. Consider the use of walkways to prevent damage where the roof may be subject to heavy foot traffic.
9 6. Ensure roof penetrations do not block the flow of water from the roof.

Eco Ventilator (Runs without Power)

Turbo ventilator is a self driven equipment installed on industrial roofs to extract inside air.
Turbo ventilators are driven by wind hence no electricity or other power sources are
required. As the ventilator is rotated by wind, the stale inside air is exhausted through it
and natural inward flow of fresh air is boosted.
Features :
l Rigid roll formed curved vanes in Aluminium. Optional S.S. 304 vanes are also available.
l Rotor shaft & self lubricated metlon bush assembly concealed in mild steel casting.
l Light weight & durable. Approximately 5.5 to 6.5 kg.
l Top cover & bottom ring is made of stainless steel.
l Single piece U.V. Stabilised FRP base plate in different thickness. Option of opaque and
translucent colour available.

How does it works :

The turbo ventilator operates by utilizing the velocity of the wind to induce air flow by centrifugal action.
The centrifugal force caused by the spinning vanes creates a region of low pressure area which draws air
out through the vanes. Air drawn out by the vanes is continuously replaced by fresh air from the outside.
The slightest breeze will cause the turbine to spin and even after the breeze has stopped, the flywheel
effect of the rotor cage will use its stored energy to continuously remove air giving rise to ventilation.
Suction is maintained even at low wind velocities.

Profiled Perforated metal Sheet

Perforated profile sheet is very versatile. Perforated metal offers unique
opportunities to combine strength, functionality and beauty. Perforated
Sheet are also an excellent means of achieving sustainable design
objectives.
Perforated sunshades and sun screens provide privacy for building
occupants without blocking the view. And they offer a comfortable level of
natural lighting during daylight hours while deflecting heat to reduce the
load on the HVAC system.
Applications
l Noise Control l Security Ceilings l Sun Screens l Building Facades
l In-Fill Panels l Furnishings,
Benefits
Perforated materials have many advantages ranging from weight
reduction through acoustic noise reduction to heat dissipation and much
more.
