4. Device Description:
4.1 Functional Components:
Water Level Sensor:
Positioned near the road surface, this sensor continuously measures the
water level.
It detects rising water due to heavy rainfall, floods, or overflowing drains.
Communication Module:
Power Supply:
The water level sensor continuously detects the clogged of the water.
It sends this as an SMS to the recipient's number inserted in the code

7.2. Mounting:
Designed for easy installation alongside roads
The system is rated for outdoor use and can withstand varying weather
conditions:
IP65 or higher: Dust-tight and protected against water jets.
8. Software Requirements:
9. Advantages:
Safety Enhancement: The system provides timely alerts about rising water
levels near roads, preventing accidents and ensuring safety for commuters and
pedestrians.
Early Warning: By detecting water promptly, the system allows authorities
to take preventive measures before flooding occurs, reducing damage to infrastructure and
property.
Energy Efficiency: The system operates automatically, minimizing human
intervention. It conserves energy by activating alerts only when necessary.
Minimal Maintenance: Once installed, the system requiresmaintenance—
regular checks for better performance.
Alert Channels: Alerts are sent via SMS notifications ensuring that relevant
parties receive timely information.
10. Why should it be taken to the government?
Implementing a “Hydro Alert System” is a valuable project with significant social and
economic benefits. This system plays a crucial role in disaster mitigation, enhancing public
safety, and minimizing the impact of heavy rainfall and flooding on road infrastructure. By
utilizing sensors and communication technology, the system can provide early warnings about
rising water levels, allowingmotorists and local authorities to take proactive measures and avoid
potential hazards. The social impact includes saving lives, reducing the risk of accidents, and
ensuring the continuous access of communities to essential services. From an economic
perspective, the system contributes to infrastructure resilience by minimizing damage to roads
and bridges, which, in turn, reduces emergency response costs, medical expenses, and insurance
claims. Additionally, by preventing road closures and disruptions to commerce, the project
fosters economic stability. The implementation of such a system aligns with government
initiatives for disaster preparedness, urban planning, and technological innovation, emphasizing
the importance of investing in projects that enhance community resilience and public safety.
