5. The radii, OA and OC of these concentric circles are 7cm and 3.5cm. If the angle AOB =

13. A line whose equation is 3 x+ 2 y =8 cuts the y=axis at P.

14. A passenger noticed she had forgotten her bag in a matatu 18minutes after the matatu had
left. To catch up with the matatu, she immediately took a tai which travelled at 100Km/h.
Determine the distance covered by the taxi to catch up with the Matatu (3mks)

19. The diagram below represents a conical solid which stands on a hemispherical base with

Calculate the capacity of the water that remained in the container (5mks)
20. Three business patners, Mary, Jones and Paul contributed Kshs. 60,000 , Kshs. 85,000
and Kshs. 105,000 respectively. They agreed to put 25% of the profit back into the
business each year. They also agreed to put aside 40% of the remaining profit to cater for
taxes and insurance. The rest of the profit would then be share among the partners in the
ratio of their contribution. At the end of the first yaer the business realised a gross profit
of Ksh. 225,000.
a. Calculate the amount of money Paul received more than Mary at the end of the first
year (5mks)

b. Jones further invested Kshs.25,000 into the business at the beginning of the second
year. Given that the gross profit at the end of the second year increased in the ratio
10:9. Calculate Jone’s share of the profit at the end of the second year (5mks)
21. A parent has two children whose age difference is 5years. Twice the sum of the ages of
the two children. Is equal to the age of the parents

22. Use a ruler and a pair of compasses only in this question. Draw a parallelogram ABCD in
