CNU Residence Hall Move-in Guide of spring semester 2024

1. Note that you should be aware before move-in


○ You must undergo a health checkup (including a tuberculosis X-ray) before the move-in. Failure to do so
may result in being asked to move-out.
○ Download the “전남대스토어” app for the check-in.
○ Residents are responsible for cleaning their rooms (including shared spaces) themselves. This includes
cleaning upon moving in, moving out, and during regular inspections.
○ Office hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM in weekdays excluding lunchtime from 12 - 1 PM
○ What to bring to residence halls: Mattress protector, mattress pad, blanket, pillow, cleaning supplies
(Floor cloth, toilet brush, cleanser, etc.)
○ When using a power strip, it must have a breaker, a residual current device, and support a power
consumption of up to 3,000W.

2. Move-in procedure
Visit the check-in place
→ Show your QR code to the QR scanner
(You can find the Check-in QR code at the “website→ My page→ My Housing” category)
→ Room number, room PW, and note will be sent through “전남대스토어” or cell phone message.
→ Move-in

3. Move in on the official move-in date


- Anyone who continues to reside in the residence halls for the 2024 spring after staying in the long-
term room during the winter session

5. Medical Check-up(Pulmonary tuberculosis)
○ Subject: All the residents of spring semester 2024
○ Period: Before February, 28 2024(the official move-In date). If you are abroad, you should undergo a
medical checkup within 3 days of arriving in Korea.
○ Fee and Place: 3,000 KRW / CNU Health Service Center
○ If you undergo a medical check-up at the off-campus hospital, you should submit it to administration office.
(If you move in on the weekend, submit it by the next weekday at 11 AM.)
○ Students with active tuberculosis, infectious hepatitis, or infectious skin diseases can move in after being cured.

6. Amenities and what to bring

○ What to bring to residence halls


Mattress protector, mattress pad, blanket, pillow, cleaning supplies for room and toilet (floor cloth, toilet
brush, cleanser, etc.), hanger, slippers, toilet paper, toiletries, and daily supplies(detergent), router&LAN
cable(Building7, 8) etc.
※ Bed size: Single 970mm(width)*2000mm(length)*220mm(height)

○ Prohibited Items
※ Those who bring or use the prohibited items will incur 10 penalty points and that will be immediately seized

8. Fingerprint registration
○ You can enter the residence hall using a temporary number, which will be sent via 전남대스토어 app or
email on February 27, or by using student ID card from February 27 to March 4. Starting from March 5,
entry is only possible with a fingerprint or student ID card.
○ Those who do not possess a student ID card and have not registered their fingerprint should visit the
administration office to register their fingerprint during this period specified below.
○ Residents who have lived in the residence hall during the winter session do not need to re-register their
fingerprint. However, all others are required to do so.
○ Undergraduate, graduate freshmen, and transfer students can register their fingerprint starting from March 1.

10. Note
○ Substitutive residents and graduate will be spelled out, and applicants and residents are not allowed to
live in CNU residence hall permanently.
○ Those who do not fail to check-in procedure will get 5 penalty points.
