- Teacher avails the learner with the jumbled sentences.
- Learners read the jumbled sentences.
- Learners use pronouns in the jumbled sentences.
- Learners identify linking words. (connectors)
- Learners arrange the jumbled sentences in the correct order.
- Learners write the jumbled sentences in a correct order to form a story.

1. The teacher began the lesson with describing words.

3. Yesterday, we had a lesson for a spelling exercise.
4. Since some words were new, he began by pronouncing them.

First Stanza – breakfast, lunch, dinner
Second stanza – dressing, smart, descent, beautiful
Third stanza – travelling, beach, turbulent, rough, calm
Activity: Learners write a poem about what they like.

Read the passage below carefully and answer the questions that follow in full
sentences.
There was a strong man who worked in Queen Elizabeth National Game Park as a
warden. His wife was a beautiful shepherdess in the same area.
One day, Victor was seated in their small hut, and Marie was out making a fire to
cook Irish potatoes. She didn’t know there was a fierce lioness in the nearby bush.
As she bent to carry a pot onto fire, the lioness pounced on her back. Marie
screamed loudly in pain for help.
On hearing the screams of his wife, Victor jumped out with his old riffle ready to
attack. When the lioness saw him, it left the woman and headed for him. It charged
towards Victor but the man was ready. He shot at it, and also hit it squarely in the
face with a thorny stick. The lioness fell down and couldn’t move.
