MISSION OF

CENTER FOR APPLIED INFORMATION

TECHNOLOGY
The main goal of ICT is to realize the development strategy of Ton Duc Thang University in training and fostering
information technology for staff, lecturers and students; and to expand training for on-demand learners.
The Center has the following tasks:

FUNCTION

Specialized management of general IT courses and short-term computer modules

Organization of MOS teaching for students, staff, lecturers
Organization of short-term modules
Development in curriculum, materials and software for teaching subjects taught by the Center
MISSION

To advise the President on the implementation of MOS training for students

To advise the President on improving the application of IT for staff, and lecturers
To advise the President on the cooperation with IIG, Microsoft and other international partners to implement
teaching and certification for IT application modules of international standards
To recruit and train staff and lecturers every year to ensure the quality of teaching and services
To plan teaching methods and administer instructional subjects administered by the Center
To be a TestSite and organize MOS certification exams as well as other certifications from IIG, Microsoft and
other international organizations
To organize exchange programs with universities on MOS teaching
To select and coach the MOS team every year
To compile and update the Center’s materials annually to improve the quality of teaching
To cooperate internationally to develop more training activities and provide international certificates for other
applied informatics (IC3, ICDL, etc.) for those who have needs
To develop and cooperate with enterprises continuously to ensure that they have sufficient computer training
level under the program of all international certificates in computer science (on orders or at the request of
enterprises)
To perform other related tasks as assigned by the President

POWER

Being able to request functional departments, related departments in the University to coordinate on the
implementation of tasks in the functions and tasks assigned
Being active in arranging, administering and managing assigned labor
Proposing the establishment and dissolution of professional groups under the Center
Appointing, and dismissing of the team leader
Being able to take part in the commendation, discipline, upgrading, lowering, recruitment, transfer and dismissal
of cadres and lecturers of the Center
 SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

Continuing to innovate and get ahead of the technology, The Center for Applied Information Technology of Ton Duc
Thang University (CAIT-TDTU) will be a good choice for providing, deploying, building and developing software system;
optimized to meet the needs of individuals, organizations and enterprises in the field of information technology in order
to computerize, improve operational efficiency and shorten the working time.
In 2016, CAIT participated in the pyrotechnics demonstration contest held by the Da Nang People’s Committee in 2016
and entered the final round with a rating of 1/6 in technology and 3/6 in overall rating standards.
The software that CAIT has successfully deployed:
2017 – 2018
 Design and construct the miniature model of Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS) of TDTU.
 Design and construct the miniature model of Ton Duc Thang University at An Giang Campus.
 Build the high-tech agriculture system for vegetable farms at Ton Duc Thang University.
 Design and install a Garbage collector car that helps to keep the campus clean.
2016 – 2017
 Design and construct the automatic control system for electrical devices by smartphone for TDTU’s Traditional
Room.
 Establish the Admissions Portal to support admission in 2017.
 Establish the portal for the 24-hour student internship program, in which, students had the opportunity to
experience the learning environment and live as university students.
 Develop the Website for MAIKA Joint Stock Company.
 Develop the Website for C-T-C Investment and Education Co., Ltd.
 Develop the Website for Tran Hiep Thanh Textile Joint Stock Company.
 Develop the Taxi Management System for Tri Minh Phat Co., Ltd – Taxi 42.
 Develop the audit sampling software for the Center of Applications, Training and Development Economic
Solutions (CATDES).
 Develop the warehouse management software for Thu Duc Sports and Physical Training Center in Thu Duc
District.
2015 – 2016
 Develop the paperless conference Software (mobile app) for the Department of Information and
Communication of Tay Ninh province.
 Build the website for Duc Pho 1 High School.
 Build the website for BATA CENTRE.
 Develop and deploy the plagiarism detection software, assist faculty in evaluating subject plans, assignments,
and support for plagiarism check-ups.
 Build the news search software on the web, newspapers, … support to find old articles when the need to look
up.
 Build the Online registration page “Experience program at Ton Duc Thang University”.
 Consult and give solutions to improve some features in the portal (set up automatic calendar, …) and some
business modules such as scheduler, automatic report in the format of decision type (graduation, academic
processing, …) according to the list of student.
