ANSWERS
a.) Simply stated, media literacy is the capacity to understand various types of media and the messages they
convey. People spend their time reading, viewing, and witnessing a wide range of content across
newspapers and mass media. Print media, such as newspapers, magazines, and flyers, as well as theater
performances, tweets, and radio shows, are also included when we talk about media. The advantages of
media literacy for students are many. First and foremost, media literacy assists students in becoming
more informed media users as well as responsible media creators. On the same lines, teaching media
literacy lets students develop critical thinking skills. This way of thought will gradually become second
nature, and can benefit them in a variety of ways as they get older. The focus is on improving process
skills rather than material awareness. In a broader sense, media literacy fosters the skills that enable
people to work together in partnership by encouraging respectful dialogue and developing civic skills.
