Interview notes

Dr. Roy is optimistic about the prospect of the proposal to impart online training to students
in sports related profiles for non-players. According to him, the National Education Policy
which was recently introduced places a sizable emphasis on co-curricular activities with the
view of holistic development of students, to attain multidisciplinary skills. He is open to
accommodate the request to conduct a free trial and then students can further choose whether
to take the full paid version.

Mr. Prajapati is a principal of a Gujarat board school. According to him, when it comes to
imparting co-curricular education in govt and other small private schools the framework is
decided by the respective state education board, schools have minimal say with regards to
budget for school activities. He opines that the route for incorporating this program to such
schools would be through demonstrated success from private schools. Basis his experience if
such initiatives delivers visible results, it takes around 4 years for the initiatives to be
introduced in small and government schools.

Dr. Joy says most students take Physical Education as a subject in class 11th and 12th to score
in board exams, but without any actual interest in sports as a career. He is willing to facilitate
a free trial in the next two quarters of the academic year. The 2nd half becomes more
academically intensive for the students. In the event that students opt for the paid version, he
believes that credible certification would increase the number of students willing to sign up.
