Activity: Students will work in pairs and they will go around campus asking three different
people (or more) about something they regret from their past. Later, they will organize the

Task 1 (5-- mins): Teacher provides instructions and the class is divided in pairs (7 pairs in total)

Task 2 (10-- mins): Teacher provides some examples on how they can address people to be
interviewed and questions they can ask after people have accepted to be asked those
questions. For example: “what is your name and age?”, “is there something you regret from
the past?”, “is there something you wish you could have done differently when you were
younger?” (students can change those questions depending on how the conversation flows).

more time with her, they would have had a better relationship when they were teenagers.
(Note that students have been studying this topic and its variations for one week). Students will
put the information of each person by using a graphic organizer that they will later show to the
class.
When the students come back to the classroom, some pairs will pass to the front and talk
about their findings (30 minutes). The pair will talk about the people they interview by taking
turns. Also, they will show the graphic organizers they have created on their
Assessment tablets/smartphones. Students will be the ones in charge to correct at the end the grammar
structure which is third conditional, past perfect and expressions to express regret or desire.
Teacher will assign some students to do that for each couple. At the end, the teacher will give
provide feedback as well.

PS. In this university, the campus is not so big and not so small. It is perfect for this activity. We have the

away interviewing people. Students and teacher will have the smartphones ready. Also, students have
been studying grammar and expressions to talk about regret for a while.
