ABSTRACT

Studying and practicing must go hand in hand, especially for university and college
students. Because there is always a huge gap between the theory put forward in this
field and its application in practice; Therefore, the more students practice, the easier it
is to integrate into the working environment and overcome obstacles when starting
their future career.
As a senior student at Dai Nam University, I have the opportunity to integrate into the
working environment, apply school knowledge into practice and improve soft skills
in this first internship. During 2 months working at ASEB, I have had many useful
experiences.
I was introduced to the company's unique English teaching method as well as trained
in consulting skills that helped me stand firm in front of students. After that, I worked
as a teaching assistant for foreign teachers. Thanks to them, I learned many
interesting things and new skills.
At the same time, I also participated in many unique events and enjoyed training.
It can be said that this first internship brought me more challenges; I have improved
myself in many areas.

Established in 2011, the ME School Preschool system currently has 8 campuses
in Hanoi and Saigon, applying the Intensive English system and the Standards
System specifically for children from 10 months to 6 years old. Possessing many
strengths in facilities as well as an educational environment, ME School has a vision
of becoming a leading unit in applying early education principles, along with
investing in rich facilities. . . , modern, safe with a team of enthusiastic teachers who
sincerely love children.

will feel the freshness of nature, each campus is covered with green trees like
miniature forests right in the heart of the city with chirping birds and bright flowers,
colorful. From the outdoor space to the tools and materials, all are meticulously
selected to be closest to nature and cleverly arranged to stimulate children to explore
and develop creativity.
Using this method, ME School helps arouse children's interest in learning,
arousing curiosity with countless questions in a colorful world.
1.2. Expectation of internship
I also get information about the school through the website or social media by
reading more available materials. Then I found the recruitment announcement on
Facebook, so I tried to apply for teaching assistant. I hope I gain more experience not
only knowledge but also working skills.
Internship time
According to the University’s plan, the student would have four weeks from January
1st to February 10th, 2024, and during this time I worked in ASEB. The school’s
working schedule is from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m to 5.30 pm each day, and
two Saturdays per month for training and events. The lunch break is from 12 p.m. to
1 p.m.

2, Internship process
2.1. Assigned tasks at the internship place
During the internship time, I am working as a teaching assistant for both Vietnamese
and foreign teachers. I am working as a teaching assistant for both the Vietnamese
and foreign teachers. Therefore, my tasks is:
- Work with the main teacher to monitor class schedules.
- Assist teachers in preparing lessons by preparing materials and arranging
equipment.
- Revise lesson materials with students individually or in small groups.
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment.
- Supervise students during non-school hours including between classes, during
lunch, field trips and tests.
- Collaborate with primary teachers to identify problems students are
experiencing and suggest solutions.
- Record student progress and contact parents to keep them informed.
- Support instructors in developing lesson plans.

2. Benefits and limitations of the internship process

2.1, Benefit
Materials – I have more opportunities to access the different kinds of book and
materials

Soft skill – I can have more chances to improve my skills

Communication skill – I have developed the skill everyday through the conversations
with the studnets’ parents.
Management capacity – I studied how to arrange the time

2.2, Limitation
Waste to plenty of time to make the lesson and checking homeworks
Have to sit a long time and often work in front of the laptop
I did not have much time to complete all of the assignments. Because as teaching
assisstant, I have plenty of works and duties to complete.

3. Basic solution and general achievement

I will research more ways and applications to help with homework or playing online
games. I also try to practice more to improve my voice and pronunciation to speak
clearly. Make a to-do list to do as required, saving time for self-care.
I also try to exercise 3 to 4 times a day

III, JOB RESULTS AND PERSONAL EXPERIENCES

After the internship, I realized more things. It not only changed my thinking but also
helped me realize more things. It not only helps me practice good working skills but
also helps me improve communication behavior at work. To become more
professional, I need to improve myself more, try to learn more to not only help
myself move forward but also help me become a better person both at work and at
work. life

2, Effectiveness of knowledge, skill, and attitude obtained at the university in

doing internship task
In college, I took a lot of translation credits combined with other skills, so I found
most of them could be used during an internship.
For example, listening, reading, and writing skills are also applied very well when
testing students' speaking skills and homework.
In addition, my speaking ability when standing in front of a crowd has also improved
thanks to group PowerPoint exercises.
My speed in grading, editing, and researching documents is also better.
The knowledge, skills, and attitudes learned during the internship in the company
After the internship, I realized my ability to search and filter information faster and
more accurately. The ability to withstand pressure is also better, communication skills
are also significantly improved, and the ability to cooperate and listen to teammates is
also significantly enhanced. My problem-solving thinking also changed due to
unexpected situations that arose.

After finishing the internship, I hope that I will have more skills and experience in
teaching and communicating with students and colleagues. Particularly, I want to
improve the lesson lesson-building skills and situation-handling skills.
