Task 1. Make full phonetic analysis of the following communicative unit. Total – 16 points.

Ingvar Kamprad, a founder of the Swedish furniture company Ikea, uses Stockholm’s subway and public buses,
drives a 10-year-old Volvo and flies in economy class. Every year Kamprad personally hands out Christmas
presents to each of Ikea’s staff members.

Task 2. Copy the replies to the verbal contexts. Lay stresses and tone marks according to the attitudinal
meaning given. Define the communicative type of the reply. Present a tomogram. Each correct answer
gives you 2 points. Total – 8 points.
