Star Wars: The Last Jedi

A space action movie, part of a series of movies known for their spectacular visual effects,
produced by George Lucas and directed by Rian Johnson. Just by looking at the star
studded cast you wouldn’t be surprised that it was the highest grossing film of the year.

In this film general Leia Organa is leading her forces in evacuating their base when the First
Order arrives, their enemy. While trying to escape, the First Order uses a tracking device to
find them through space and attack, leaving Leia almost alone. Seeing themselves in
danger The Resistance try to recruit Luke Skywalker, a skilled jedi, but he refuses. Instead,
he teaches Rey three important lessons in the ways of the Force.

Even though the plot is nail-biting and very well thought of, the visual effects, sound effects
and music tracks are the ones which caught my attention. I am an action movie fan and I
always rate a film on how it looked and sounded. Plots are not very hard to create, it is the
visuals which cost a lot of resources and are hard to perfect. This is what makes this series
famous and appealing to a wide audience even to this day.

We can’t forget that the Star Wars series has been popular for decades now. It is always
advancing in order to attract wider audiences and improve on what they do best, visuals.
The longevity is what proves that this film is socially relevant and suitable for the Film
Event.
