COMPONENTS, PARTS AND FUNCTION OF POYGRAPH

I. INTRODUCTION
A polygraph which is usaually called a “lie detector” is an instrument that monitors
a person physiological responses. This instrument does not directly detect lies. It can
only detect whether deceptive behavior is being displayed. This instrument carefully
and accurately engineered for recording changes in respiration, skin resistance and
blood pressure and pulse. Nowadays, polygraph is raging from various analog types to
computerized one. Thus it is important to familiarize with the components, parts and
function of polygraph.
II. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the activity the students will be able to :
a. Name and give the primary function of the four major components of polyraph.
b. Identify and familiarize with the different parts of each component of the
polygraph.
c. Know the different functions of each part of the component of the polygraph.
d. Know where the components are being attached.
