Yesterday it was (be) my first class at the university. The class was in the B building and
we were all waiting for the teacher. Then, a woman opened (open) the door and she
started speaking in English. I remembered then that I haven’t practice (not practice)
English for years.

I Was (be) three times to New York but that was many years ago. Since then, I study
(study) French to be able to visit that country.
The class started and I sat (sit) in the first line. The teacher asks (ask) me what my
name was. I was so nervous that I did not know that to say. Then, I said my name and
lost the fear. From that moment on, I answered all the questions and the teacher gave
me a 5. I have been (have) a 5 since primary. Now, I study harder and I passed (pass)
all the exams and I got (get) the first place.

Now, put the knowledge into practice and write a two-page description in
your diary about the following situation: what were you doing at this time last
Christmas?

At this time, last Christmas I was lighting candles with my wife at momma’s house while
neighbors were listening to Christmas music in their homes and setting fireworks.

To start, we were very excited because we would be parents, so we spent a lot of time
together, my wife and I. We went to my mother’s birthday party on December 4 th. While
the family was arriving, I played some music for guests and my wife and sister tidied the
table with the food and drinks. The party was as incredible as possible. As matter of fact,
now that I remember it last Christmas, we moved into a new house to live together and
wait for our baby, it was a day like today.

Additionally, on Christmas eve my wife and I decided to stay home and spend the night
together. We organized a dinner with rice, grapes, cookies, Christmas sweets, chicken
in cheese and some delicious and fresh juices, that night we ate a lot.
In other hand, we watched some movies together and we were wearing Christmas
pajamas. It was great I also talked to the bay and told him what we did out here.

Since December 1st I was on vacation from work, so I took advantage of the time to rest
at home.

On New Year’s Eve, I decided first to spend time with my wife and my little song (inside
her). I had gone shopping for New Year’s dinner while my wife was buying her clothes
and some accessories.
First, since it was December 31, Christmas music was heard everywhere and people
were very happy organizing everything in the neighborhood. We thanked God in prayer
and would meet again at 6 PM for our New Year celebration.

Second, we took the shower together and got dressed to pick up the Christmas dinner,
thank God we didn’t have work both of us. When we got home, I received a message
from my mother inviting my wife and I to her home to spend the New Year with her
family.

Third, we organized the dining room together, I remember the meal today because it was
delicious: rice with fruits, cordon blue, grape juice and a salad that tasted as delicious as
it was juicy.

Finally, after lunch we sat down to listen to music in the room dressed very elegantly.
After an hour or two we went to my mom’s house to celebrate and it was a fabulous night
of lots of dancing and family laughs. We all hugged each other in New Year’s and it was
all happiness, my wife had slept a long time I guess for the baby but then she joined the
party and had fun.
