M.SC. in Applied Health Informatics and

Digital Medicine
For the course start in September 2024, we are offering the following scholarships:

f Scholarship of the RWTH International Academy

RWTH International Academy offers the study course M.Sc. in Applied Health Informatics and Digital Medicine of RWTH Aachen
University in cooperation with the Institute of Medical Informatics of the University Hospital RWTH Aachen.

The degree program aims to train experts who have expertise in both data science and interprofessional communication in
healthcare research and care at the interface between medicine and informatics. For further information, please visit our website:

Admission Requirements for the master course are a first academic degree ( e.g. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in computer science,
mathematics or natural sciences) or completed medical studies; at least 1 year of work experience in the field of medicine or compu-
ter science, and English language proficiency (level B2).

The basic requirement for receiving a scholarship is the fulfilment of the formal and professional admission requirements. We
therefore ask you to upload all required documents to the application portal www.online.rwth-aachen.de in time. If your
application for the master program is not completely uploaded in the application system and checked by all needed examining
bodies, your application for a scholarship cannot be considered.

Please note that you can only apply for one of the following scholarships. If you apply for more than one, we will consider the last one
received. Do not upload other documents than the ones required. The required information for a complete application can be found
below.

Which requirements do I have to meet to apply for a scholarships?

Scholarship for employees of RWTH/UKA
A meaningful letter of motivation is required. In this you should particularly explain your commitment and role at RWTH / UKA. The
proof of membership of RWTH / UKA should be provided by a corresponding letter of recommendation by the employer.

Scholarship of the RWTH International Academy

Your performance in your first degree program and the nature and content of your relevant work experience will be taken into
account. A meaningful letter of motivation is required.

Scope of the scholarships

Scholarship for employees of RWTH/UKA* Scholarship of the RWTH International Academy

f Reduction of tuition fees by 100% f Reduction of tuition fees by 50%

f Scholarship amount: 26.600€ f Scholarship amount: 13.300€

The number of scholarships may vary depending on availability and financial feasibility.

For all scholarships, the RWTH semester fees as well as maintenance and travel costs are borne by the participant.
The sum will be credited against the tuition fees to be paid. A pay-out of the scholarship amount is excluded. A combination of the scholarships and a legal entitlement to a
scholarship are excluded. Special conditions apply in the event of losing the scholarship requirements during the course.

*If the scholarship for employees of RWTH/ UKA is accepted, a separate agreement will be made with the Dean‘s Office of the Faculty of Medicine at RWTH. For further
