Displays: The IQ241 can be fitted with several different types


of display, a 2-line Display Panel, IQView, and a PC. The IQ241
has 2 ports, the local supervisor port on the front panel (RJ11)
and the NDP port under the cover on the main board. These
correspond to the two extra CNC addresses provided by the
IQ241; the local supervisor port address, and the NDP port
address.

provides access to parameters within the controller. Fitting an
external 2DP will reduce available 24 Vdc auxiliary current by
30 mA (see Auxiliary Supply section).

Integral Node: If required an additional node controller (e.g. TMNH, TNME, CNC2, PNC2, INC2, LINC/FTT) may be fitted inside the
IQ241 using the node fixing kit, KIT/NODE/IQ241.

The fixing kit contains nylon pillars which are screwed to the 4
hinged plate
holes in the IQ241. The node card has 4 holes that fit onto the
pillars enabling the node to be screwed into position. There is a
special 24 Vdc supply connection (labelled XNC/PWR) and a node
network connector (labelled XNC). The two on-board network board
links must be removed to enable the network to connect to the
node.

Note that an additional node controller will consume current


from the 24 Vdc auxiliary supply; see auxiliary supply section network links
above and appropriate node controller data sheet.

INSTALLATION
The IQ241 controller must be installed in a panel, using screws and washers. The procedure involves:

FIELD MAINTENANCE
The IQ241 controller requires virtually no routine maintenance, however it is recommended that the lithium battery be replaced every
5 years, as explained in the Installation Instructions (TG103012, sheets 2 & 3).
