1.5T MRI - Lumbar Spine
IMAGING

TECHNIQUE :

T1-T2 sagitals, T2 axials, IR coronals

Sagital T2 screening of Cervicodorsal spine

FINDINGS :

Alignment of lumbosacral spine is normal.

Schmorl's nodes noted in L2 & L3 endplates.

Vertebral bodies are normal in shape and signal morphology.

Posterior neural arch elements appear normal.

Desiccation of L3-L4 & L4-L5 discs.

Protrusion of L3-L4 disc causing thecal sac indentation and mild

traversing nerve root compression.

Right posterio-central disc bulge with annular tear of L4-L5 disc causing
thecal sac indentation and right neural foramina obliteration.

Mild L5-S1 disc bulge causing thecal sac indentation.

Rest of the intervertebral discs show normal signal intensity.

Spinal cord, conus and filum terminale are normal in shape and signal morphology.

Lumbar canal measurements are within normal limits.

Facet joints appear normal.

Pre and paraspinal soft tissues appear normal.

Both sacroiliac joints appear normal to the extent seen.

Screening of Cervicodorsal spine:
