data or information which is essential in Planning Training Sessions. Please

1. Vehicle Familiarization

1.1 Identify and explain the purpose and function of key components of a
light vehicle, including but not limited to the engine, transmission,
braking system, steering mechanism, dashboard indicators, and safety
features.
1.2 Demonstrate the correct operation of vehicle controls, including starting
and shutting down the engine, engaging gears (if applicable), operating
lights, windshield wipers, indicators, and other auxiliary controls.
1.3 Interpret and respond appropriately to visual and auditory signals
provided by the vehicle's dashboard indicators, warning lights, and
auditory alerts.

1.4 Apply knowledge of safety features and emergency equipment within


the vehicle, including seat belts, airbags, emergency exits, and fire
extinguishers, to ensure passenger and driver safety.

1.5 Practice correct seating position and adjust mirrors for optimal visibility
and control while driving.

1.6 Demonstrate an understanding of basic maintenance tasks such as


checking fluid levels (e.g., oil, coolant), inspecting tire pressure and
condition, and identifying any signs of mechanical issues or
abnormalities.

2. Safe Driving Practices:

2.1 Identify and explain the key principles of defensive driving,


including hazard perception, anticipation of road conditions, and
maintaining a safe following distance.
2.2 Recognize and interpret road signs, signals, and markings, and
understand their implications for safe driving behavior.
2.3 Apply knowledge of speed limits, road conditions, and weather
conditions to adjust driving behavior accordingly, ensuring safe
and appropriate speeds at all times.
2.4 Practice techniques for safe overtaking, lane changing, and merging,
ensuring adequate visibility and signaling to other road users.
2.5 Utilize effective communication strategies, such as signaling intentions
and using headlights or horn when necessary, to communicate with
other road users and enhance safety.
2.5 Practice safe and efficient reversing maneuvers, including straight-line
reversing, reversing around corners, and parallel parking in reverse,
while maintaining awareness of surrounding hazards and blind spots.

3. Vehicle Maneuvering and Handling:

3.1Execute basic vehicle maneuvers, including parking, reversing, turning,


and changing lanes, with precision and control, while adhering to traffic
rules and regulations.

3.2 Adjust driving techniques and vehicle handling in response to different


road conditions, such as wet or slippery surfaces, uneven terrain, and steep
gradients, to maintain traction and control.
