10 Guerrero in
Batangas City Integrated High School S.Y 2022-2023

l. Background of the study

Mathematics emerged from counting, computation measuring,

and the systematic study of the shapes and motions of physical
objects through abstraction and logical reasoning. Mathematics is
the science and study of quality, structure, space, and change. In
many disciplines today including natural science, engineering,
medicine, and the social sciences, mathematics is a crucial
instrument.

ll. Statement of the problem

This mini-research will help the researcher determine the

performance of Grade 10 Guerrero students in Mathematic at 2nd
Periodical Test for the 2nd quarter of S.Y. 2022-2023

lll. Significance of the study

The researchers may be able to determine the student who needs

support and intervention in this subject. This will reveal whether
or not the students in G10 Guerrero class are having difficulty with
mathematics.
lV. Methodology
A. Research Design
This is quantitative research. Documentary analysis was
used in conducting this mini research.

B. Participants / Respondents
Grade 10 Guerrero at BCHIS School

C. Data Gathering
The Data were taken from the teacher’s class record

V. Results and Findings

The class in 2nd Periodical Test has an average of 34.21% or 35%

in mathematics.
Therefore, 75%, of the students (37) have an score of less than or
equal to 41.
25% of the students (13) have an score of greater than or equal
to 41.
Therefore, 76% of the scores are less than cumulative frequency of
75, while 24% of the scores are greater than the cumulative
frequency of 75.

VI. Conclusion and Recommendation

Based on the results, it was affirmed that Grade 10- Guerrero

performance got a lower percent of mastery level on 2nd periodical test
for the Second Quarter, because there are such students who did not
get a passing scores.

Many students struggle with their grades at some point but with
hardwork and dedication, you can overcome your challenges and
succeed
