ENGLISH PROJECT

AS A PART OF ENGLISH PRACTICAL

FOR CLASS XI
(10 X 5 = 50 marks)

The students are expected to complete the English Project in a project file and submit on or
before 5th of January 2024. Use good quality of hard paper sheet as the project file and avoid
plastic. While answering the questions you are expected to use only one side of the paper.

ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

1. Draft a debate in for/ against the motion on the topic: “Reading books is a wastage of
time in the present context”, in about 150 words
2. As you have observed that the students spend their most of the times on Social Media,
write a letter to the Editor of any National Daily, expressing your deep concern for the
next generation, in about 150 words.
3. Draft a speech on the topic: “Role of students to keep the Environment healthy,” in
about 150 words.
4. Classified Advertisement:
(i) As you want to sell your vehicle, draft a classified advertisement, finding all necessary
details, in about 60 words.
(ii) ABC Publishing House Ltd., Kolkata, urgently requires Marketing Executives. Draft a
classified advertisement for the same in about 60 words.
5. Display Advertisement:
(i) As you are going to launch a Beauty Product, design a display advertisement for the
same with all the necessary details
(ii) You are running a shop of Readymade Garments. Design a display advertisement for
the same, finding all necessary details.

N.B.: The project will necessarily require (i) Cover page (ii) Certificate (iii) Acknowledgement
in the beginning.
