Information Technology Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Superintendent, based

primarily in our office and being responsible for the overall leadership and
management of our IT team, providing our sites with appropriate and effective
Information Technology solutions to suit the business needs.

The successful candidate will be a strong leader and communicator, able to present
technical information convincingly to both technical and non-technical audiences and
deliver exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities and deliverables:

• Provide day to day leadership, direction, coaching and management to IT

team members.
• Develop and maintain IT policies and procedure for effective delivery of IT
function.
• Manage the Company’s IT infrastructure, applications and database, ensuring
compliance with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Lead cyber security strategy/policies development to align with business
requirements.
• Manage the implementation of IT system changes and upgrades.
• Provide technical direction and guidance to ensure prompt resolution of
problems relating to IT services.
• Manage capital project delivery, including vendor/supplier engagement and
management.
• Identify technology trends and opportunities of their application to the
business.
• Manage IT workplan to ensure IT function remains effective and efficient in
providing services to meet the business requirement.
• Manage the engagement of external resources (Contractors / service
providers) to supplement internal capability.
• Effective and efficient support to internal stakeholders ensuring little to no
disruption to operation.
• Annual budget development, effective management of budget and cost.
• Identifying opportunities for cost optimization and system improvement via
continuous improvement.

Essential requirements and experience;

• A Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Computer Science

• Strong leadership and communications skills – both with technical resources
and senior business management
• Previous experience managing IT infrastructure, applications and desktop
supports
• Previous experience in similar management level roles within mining industry
• Experience in solution architecture using cloud-based technology and remote
support as a way of operating
• A track record of dealing with complex IT related issues
• Familiar with networking and the Microsoft technology stack
• National Police Clearance
