4. (a) The cell wall provides support and shape in a plant cell. Briefly state the types of what provides
structural support in an animal cell.
(b) Briefly explain the following statements:
(i) Nucleus is the most prominent organelle of the cell
(ii) Cell membrane is referred to as fluid.
(iii)Golgi apparatus has tubular structure.
(iv) The fats and oil are triglycerides.
5. (a) Synthesis of ATP from ADP and phosphate in plants by using radiant energy absorbed during
photosynthesis occurs in two categories. Identify and state how these categories are different from
each other.
(b) Give five (05) reasons as to why plants such as millet, sorghum and sugar cane are more
efficient in photosynthesis than other plants such as rice, soybeans and grasses.
6. Study the structures A and B below and then answer the questions that follow: -

above can be tested.

7. (a) A certain plant hormone is released from ripening fruits, nodes of stems, ageing leaves and
flowers in gaseous state. Identify the hormone and state how its synthetic form is important in crop
production.
