Fifth, it is the duty of citizens to safeguard the security, honour

and interests of the motherland. They are forbidden to commit any


act which is detrimental to the security, honour and interest of the
motherland (Art. 54).
Sixth, Art. 53 obliges citizens to abide by the Constitution and
the law, keep state secrets, protect public property, observe labour
discipline and public order and respect social ethics.
