With reference to the one of the reported inbound deliveries, I created a test case below.

EWR test case:

PO:3563346740
Inbound delivery: 159194801

 Gross Weight and Net Weight is calculated at PO level itself.

 When Delivery is created with reference to the PO for the same quantity, the same weight is
calculated as per the delivered quantity.

As per material master the weight for this material is:

So accordingly, the weight is calculated in the PO/Delivery based on the quantity entered:

1533(Weight maintained in the material master) x 100(Quantity in PO/Delivery) =1,53,300(Total),

which is more than 70k Threshold(As per BI team threshold provided)

So as per the weight of the material and quantity, the gross weight calculation is correct.
For LB UOM conversion is as below:

Also, as per the analysis for production case as well, the quantity was updated which in turn changed
the gross weight of the delivery.

 Firstly, it needs to be checked that why only at BI end this threshold is maintained. Because
reports will be reflected from transactional data and not the other way round.
 If on business team’s request the threshold was set at BI end, was the same threshold
implemented during order/delivery creation as a validation, at code level? If yes, this needs
to be checked why the validation is not working.
 If no, then this has to be checked with Business Team/Process Owner if this validation
needs to be implemented at code level as per requirement, then accordingly warning/error
message can be generated during order/delivery creation if the weight exceeds the
threshold value.
Please check with the business team on this to proceed accordingly.
