Instructions:
Answer what are being asked for.
1. If the government has the prime duty to serve and protect its citizens, in
return, what is our responsibility to the state?
I suppose my duty or responsibility in return was to behave honorably. Additionally, a
component of it is acting lawfully to the greatest extent possible. And I should
participate actively in politics by casting my vote and looking into concerns that the
general public raises. Additionally, one should study governance and gain at least a
basic comprehension of how society functions on a textbook level.

2. Why does the government recognize the important role of the youth in
nation building?
The government recognizes the importance of youth in national development since
these youngsters will be the next generation's leaders. Nowadays, the struggle for
successful and ethical administration is within today's youth's thoughts and
perspectives. The government should even support these children in becoming young
leaders today, because the future of the world rests on them.

3. What are the three (3) components of the NSTP?

1. Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) - refers to the program components,
institutionalized under Sections 38 and 39 of Republic Act no. 7077, designed to
provide military training to tertiary level students in order to motivate, train,
organize and mobilize them for national defense preparedness.

2. Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) - refers to the program component or

activities contributory to the general welfare and the betterment of life for the
members of the community or the enhancement of its facilities, especially those
devoted to improving health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, safety,
recreation and moral of the citizenry and other social welfare services.

3. Literacy Training Service (LTS) - refers to the program component designed to

train the student to teach literacy and numeracy skills to school children, out-of-
school youths and other segments of society in need of their services.
4. Why do you think female students are now required to take NSTP?

For me, I think female students are now expected to take NSTP because they are
students as well. Females are also supposed to help the country in times of need
since we all have the right to debate this topic. It is vital for us to have both
training and service. Furthermore, military duty is open to both males and women.
And, in my opinion, it is also our job to defend our country against intruders

5. Why foreigners are not required to take up the NSTP?

Foreigners, on the other hand, are not compelled to participate in the National
Service Training Program because they are not obligated to serve our country in
times of need because they are citizens of other countries.
