• To understand the Korean War, we need to know the context, it

occurred. After World War II, Korea, which had been under Japanese
rule, was divided along the 38th parallel into 2 separate nations: North
Korea, a communist state backed by the Soviet Union, and South Korea, a
democratic state supported by the United States.
• Tensions between North and South Korea escalated. The invasion of
South Korea by North Korean forces, under the leadership of Kim Il-
sung, marked the beginning of the conflict.
• The desire for reunification under differing ideologies communism
versus democracy fueled the aggression.
• One such event was the landing at Inchon port by United Nations
forces led by General Douglas MacArthur, which turned the tide of
the war in favor of South Korea.
• The versioón that they have imposed to the north korea poblation is
very diferent, beacause, we think that north korea lost the war by
losing control over most of the peninsula.
• The people of North Korea have been told that they won the war
against EUA, that they dont need anything from other countries and
the have been telling the people about how wonderful was Kim il-
sung - the first president of Republic Democratic of Korea - and all
kind of histories of the things that he did for the country.
• In conclusion, the Korean War is the example of the value of
geopolitics and the consequences of human toll of armed conflict.
• By studying this conflict, we gain valuable insights into the challenges
of maintaining peace and stability in a divided world.
