that day will be postponed until further notice.

Forms 1 – 5 Final Examinations (2022-2023)
INSTRUCTIONS TO ALL STUDENTS
1. During the examination period: 5th – 23rd June, 2023, all playgrounds are closed THE WHOLE DAY. Students may gather in the
Covered Playground or sit on the stands of the Lower Playground - but NO GAMES ARE ALLOWED.
2. Examination Centres, including classrooms, may not be entered until the arrival of the invigilator. The rooms will be locked until
just before the examination begins; thus students may not use their lockers before the examination.
3. Seating Arrangements –
Students must sit according to the seating plan placed at the entrance of each examination centre. Some F.1 & F.2 students may be
allocated to another classroom.
4. Examination Stationery –
All paper will be provided, including rough work sheets. Students are not allowed to bring any paper into the examination centre.
If they bring pencil cases or pencil boxes (including transparent pencil boxes) to the examination centre, they must place the
contents on their desks and put the pencil cases/boxes UNDER THE CHAIRS.
5. Admission of Students –
Under normal circumstances, students may be admitted into the examination centre 10 minutes before the examination is due to
start.
6. Late Arrivals –
(a) A student who arrives late but within 30 minutes of the start of the paper may be admitted but no extra time will be given.
(b) A student who arrives more than 30 minutes late may be permitted to take the examination but the script may not be accepted
by the examiner.
7. Early Leavers
Examinations with:
a) Multiple Choice Papers only - No early leavers are allowed.
b) Conventional Papers only - No students are allowed to leave the examination centre within the first half-hour
or the last fifteen minutes. A student may leave only after his scripts have been
checked by an invigilator.
c) Multiple Choice and
Conventional Papers - No early leavers are allowed.
8. During the examination, students are strongly encouraged to put on their own surgical mask.
9. Students must check carefully to make sure that there are no missing pages in the question paper. They must inform the teacher if
they have questions or there are missing pages in the question paper. Students may risk the loss of marks if they fail to do so.
10. At the end of the period students must tie all answer sheets in correct order with the string provided.
11. If students are having several examinations in the morning, they will not be allowed to leave the school during the break or breaks in
between them. If they do so, they will not be permitted to re-enter the school to take the next examination in the morning.
12. Students should bring a bag that can be properly closed with a zip/buckles to hold their books and notes, etc. The bag must be
small enough to be placed UNDER THEIR CHAIRS and be properly closed before the examination begins. The school will not
be responsible for any property lost.
13. Students must be dressed in PROPER SCHOOL UNIFORM when in the school premises during school hours, including
examination time. Students must not wear long hair or have a weird hairstyle. Students who fail to observe these rules will be
subject to disciplinary action.
14. Electronic calculators, which have been pad-printed with the “H.K.E.A.A. APPROVED”, may be used in any examination sessions.
15. All mobile phones must be switched off at school and put inside the bag. All kinds of electronic devices (e.g. MP3 players,
electronic dictionaries, databank watches, smart watches with mobile applications installed or wireless technologies supported)
should be put inside the bag. Students may risk a mark penalty if they fail to do so.
16. Absence in the Final Examination
Students with a fever or respiratory tract infection symptoms (such as cough or shortness of breath etc.) will not be allowed to sit for
the examination. If a student is absent for any paper of a subject in the Final Examination, he will be given ‘0’ mark for that paper.
However, if he can present a proper medical certificate to show that his absence was caused by illness or evidence of attending an
external examination, he may be given an estimated mark for that paper at the discretion of the school in the calculation of the
overall score for the whole subject.
17. The serious consequences of cheating in an examination
Students should study hard and not cheat in any examination as cheating in an examination is a very serious breach of discipline.
The following measures will be taken:
(a) A student caught cheating in the examination of a paper of any subject will be given ‘0’ mark for the entire subject.
(b) In addition, further disciplinary action will be taken.
(c) The student’s parents/guardians will be informed.
(d) The student may be issued a written warning for poor conduct stating such an offence at the end of the school year.
The above measures will seriously affect the student’s chances of promotion to the next level of study.
18. All students should go home directly after the examinations and not wander about the streets.
