Different Video Editing Softwares

Adobe Premiere Pro

is a widely used software applications for video editing on mac OS or Windows

computers. Premiere Pro is used for editing videos, commercials and other film,
television, and online video. It is a comprehensive video editing software application
and is also available as part of the Adobe Creative Cloud set of applications.
Premiere Pro is often used in conjunction with After Effects and Photoshop on
creative projects.

What is Premiere Pro CC

In the Premiere Pro CC name, the CC is represents “Creative Cloud” and is a

subscription-based version of Premiere Pro. New updates to the Premiere Pro
program are available for download for current subscribers. In order to use the CC
version of Premiere Pro, a current subscription is required. Older versions of
Premiere Pro, such as Premiere Pro CS, do not require a subscription. Adobe made
the transition to subscription-based versions of Premiere Pro as part of the Creative
Cloud in 2013. Adobe releases new updates to Premiere Pro CC approximately
every 12 to 18 months. The updates from year to year are often modest, making the
difference between versions such as Premiere Pro CC 2017 and Premiere Pro CC
2018 not noticable to most users.

What does Premiere Pro do

Premiere Pro can be used for all common video editing tasks necessary for
producing broadcast quality, high-definition video. It can be used to import video,
audio and graphics, and is used to create new, edited versions of video which can be
exported to the medium and format necessary for distribution. When creating videos
using Premiere Pro, various video and still images can be edited together. Titles can
be added to videos, and filters can be applied along with other effects.

The History of Premiere Pro

Adobe Premier Pro started as simply Premiere, and was introduced in 1991 for the
Mac operating system. It was one of the first computer-based non-linear editing
systems. The name Premiere Pro was introduced in 2003 and has been used for all
subsequent versions. The very first version of Premier Pro had a number of names,
ranging from Premiere Pro 1 through Premiere Pro 7.

selection tools to video, access to royalty-free stock video and images from
Shutterstock, better color matching and keyframing, and a streamlined interface.

Earlier versions added a raft of 360-degree capabilities, including stabilization,

motion tracking, titles, transitions, and View Designer for cool effects like Little
Planet. Other standout features include LUT (lookup table) filter support (and many
included LUT effect filters), split toning, HDR effects, animated picture-in-picture
templates, and automatic audio ducking.

Video Editing Interface

The program's user interface is about as clear and simple as a program with such a
vast number of options can be, but it can still get overwhelming when you're deep in
the weeds of fine-tuning video or audio effects. It's not quite as simple and friendly as
Adobe Premiere Elements or Ashampoo Movie Edit Pro, however, but that's
because it offers more capabilities. The latest version cuts down on clutter, for
example, removing the Capture from a main mode button to a menu option. You can

PowerDirector Welcome Screen

You start off in a Welcome screen offering big button options of Full Mode,

Always Enter Full Mode checkbox is for you. On this welcome screen, you can also

The PowerDirector editing interface maintains the traditional source and preview split
panels on the top, with your track timeline along the whole width of the bottom of the
screen. You can now have two video preview windows—one for the source and one
for the movie, which saves you from having to switch a single preview window
between those two functions.

The storyboard view is more than just clip thumbnails. You can drag transitions
between clips, apply effects, and add audio clips without switching to timeline view. I
like the search box for media and the buttons at the top of the source panel for

showing just video, just photos, or just audio in the source panel. Buttons link to
video tutorials that pop up in the upper-right corner based on your current activity.

Four mode choices line up at the top: Capture, Edit, Produce, and Create Disc. The
timeline is easy to customize and navigate, with a button for adding tracks. You're
allowed up to 100 tracks. Vegas Movie Studio limits you to 10 tracks (200 if you
upgrade to the Platinum level), which is already probably more than most people
need, though not enough for high-end projects.
