Read the following passage and answer the questions that follow it.
Text: A good bargain
One day, Ngong went to the market with her shopping list. She wanted to make a meal for her
sister’s birthday. She stopped at one of the stalls.
“Good morning. Can I help you” asked the woman at the stall.
“I need a bag of cocoyam’s, please”, said Ngong. “How much does this bag cost?”
“It’s 5 600 francs. They’re very tasty,”
“That’s too expensive,” replied Ngong. “I’ll go to another stall”.
Ngong walked to the next stall. She saw some chickens for sale. They looked nice and fresh.
“How much is that chicken” She asked
“It’s 1650 francs.” replied the man at the stall. “I also have some nice pork. It’s 1200 francs a
kilo”.
“thank you. I’ll have the chicken and two kilos of pork please. “Said Ngong.

The girl smiled. “I also have some lovely, red cocoyam’s”, she said

“You can have the tomatoes and this bag of cocoyam’s for 3 300 francs”, said the girl.
“That’s good bargain!” said Ngong. “Thank you”
