MATERIAL LIST
Yarn: In this pattern, I use Susan’s Family (60% cotton, 40% acrylic, 50g, 120m) with
colors: Yellow (56, 3 ball) and small of Brown. You can also use Yarnart jeans instead.
Hook: Size 2.5 mm
Others: fibrefill, a needle for sewing, scissors, pins, a Plastich canvas (15x15cm), 2 types
of Foam

- Type 1: Height 1cm: 20x40cm

- Type 2: Height 3cm: 12x12cm

ABBREVIATIONS
MR magic ring

ch chain

sc single crochet

dc double crochet

hdc half double crochet

inc single crochet increase (2 single crochet in 1 stitch)

dec single crochet decrease (use the invisible decrease)

Blo back loop only


Flo front loop only
st stitch/ stitches
sl st slip stitch
rnd/ rnds round/ rounds
(…) * repeat the instructions in the brackets for the amount of times given

Back and Wing (Yellow yarn)

1. Outside: (Make 1)

Crochet in rows.

Tip * for keeping a straight edge.


- From the second row, skip the first stitch, start from the second and crochet 1 more
stitch at the ch of the previous row.

From row 1 - 15 apply Tip *

1 Make a chain of 87 ch, starting in the second ch from hook, 86sc [86] (the right
side)

2 – 15 (14 rows) Ch1, 86sc [86]


From now, Don’t aplly Tip *
16 Ch1, sc, dec, 80 sc, dec, sc [84]
17 Skip the first st, hdc, 5dc, hdc, 68sc, hdc, 5dc, hdc, skip the last st [82]
Cut the yarn, fasten off and weave in the end.

18 On the right side, attach the yellow yarn to the 14th st (from left to right), Ch1,
pull yarn tightly. Turn to the wrong side (Starting from the next st) 54sc, slst in the next
st [54] (The tail is hidden on the wrong side).

19 Ch1, (skip the 2 slip stitches at the 2 ends of the previous row) 54sc [54]
20 Ch1, sc, dec, 48sc, dec, sc [52]

2. Inside (Make 1):

Crochet in the same way. But Row 10: working in the front loop (Flo). The Inside is
shorter in width (12st).
From row 1 - 15 apply Tip *

1 Make a chain of 75 ch, starting in the second ch from hook, 74sc [74] (The
right side)

2 – 9 (8 rows) Ch1, 74sc [74]

10 Ch1, Flo, 74sc [74]

11 – 15 (5 rows) Ch1, 74sc [74]


From now, Don’t aplly Tip *
16 Ch1, sc, dec, 68sc, dec, sc [72]
17 Skip the first st, hdc, 5dc, hdc, 56sc, hdc, 5dc, hdc, skip the last st [70].
Cut the yarn, fasten off and weave in the end. (See row 17 of the Outside)

18 On the right side, attach the yellow yarn to the 7th st (from left to right), Ch1,
pull yarn tightly.Turn to the wrong side (Starting from the next st) 42sc, slst in the
next st [42] (The tail is hidden on the wrong side). => See row 18 of the Outside.

19 Ch1, (skip the 2 slip stitches at the 2 ends of the previous row) 42sc [42]

20 Ch1, sc, dec, 36sc, dec, sc [40]

Cut the yarn, fasten off and weave in the end.
The height of Outside = The height of Inside = Y
(My Y = 16.5cm)

Border (Yellow yarn)


1. The long border (Make 1) Used to connect the wings.
Make a chain of 73 ch, starting in the second ch from hook. We will crochet around this
foundation ch: inc, 70sc, 5sc in the last ch. Continue on other side of the foundation
ch, 70sc, 3sc in the next st, slst in the first st [150]
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
You have now a rectangle with:
Width: 3st
Length: 72st

2. The short border (Make 1): Used to connect the 2 tops of the Outside and Inside.
Crochet in the same way.
Make a chain of 25 ch, starting in the second ch from the hook

We will crochet around this foundation ch: inc, 22sc, 5sc in the last ch. Continue on
other side of the foundation ch, 22sc, 3sc in the next st, slst in the first st [54]
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
You have now a rectangle with:
Width: 3st
Length: 24st

Seat cushion (Make 1, Yellow yarn)


Crochet in rows. Apply Tip *

1 Make a chain of 25 ch, starting in the second ch from hook, 24sc [24] (The
right side)
2 – 9 (8 rows) Ch1, 24sc [24]
10 Ch1, Working in back loop only (Blo), 24sc [24]
11 – 35 (25 rows) 24sc [24]
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Measure the length from row 10 – 35 = X cm (My X = 9cm)
Use the foam: Type 2 (Height: 3cm), cut the foam to make a cube with size:
Width: X cm
Length: X cm
Height: 3 cm
Cover the foam with the fabric (The right side out).

Bottom (Make 1, Yellow yarn))


Crochet in rows. Apply Tip *

1 Make a chain of 33 ch, starting in the second ch from hook, 32sc [32] (The
right side)

2 – 30 (29 rows) Ch1, 32sc [32]


Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Cut a rectangle of plastic canvas that is slightly smaller than the
Bottom (Make sure the edges are seamless)

Sew the rectangle onto the wrong side of Bottom (Leave a border for sewing)

Legs (Make 4, Brown yarn)


1 MR, 6sc [6]
2 (sc, inc) * 3 [9]
3 – 9 (7 rnds) BLO, Ch1, 9sc [9]
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
 Cut a rectangle of plastic canvas (5 X
7 hole, make sure the edges are
seamless)
Fold in 3 lengthwise. Wrap a fiberfill at the
top and outside to stuff the leg, adding
more in the center.

 Cut a square of plastic canvas (3 x 3


hole, make sure the edges are
seamless)
Sew the square onto the leg.

Frame (Make 1, foam: Type 1 - Height 1cm)


1. Lean back (Make 1)
Cut the foam to make a cube with size:
Length = Y cm
Width = X + 0.2cm + 0.2cm (0.2cm is height of fabric)
Height: 1cm

2. Wing (Make 2)
Cut the foam to make a cube with size:

Length = Y cm
Width = X + 1cm + 0.2cm
Height: 1cm
Pin the Inside on top the cube foam.
Use the pen to draw on the cube foam following the curve of
the Inside.
Cut along the drawn curve.
Position the wings on either side of Lean back and sew them
in place (6 point)

Assembly
Sew the seat cushion to the Inside (sew on front loops of row 9)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Posittion the frame to the right after, then the Outside (The right side out, The wrong
side close to the foam). Use Pins to fix.

Sew the short border:
Sew the short border to the Inside and Outside (Sew on 2 long sides)
The short Border: Sew on the outermost loop
Fasten off and weave in the end.

Sew the long border:


Pin the long border to the frame.
Sew the short edge to the Short Border (3st), to the Top of Outside (3st)
Sew the long edge to the wings.

Sew the legs


Sew the legs to the right side of bottom.

Sew the Bottom

Reference - Pillow (Brown, Gray and Yellow yarn)


Crochet in rows. Make 2
1 Row Brown yarn => 1 row Gray yarn = >1 row Yellow yarn

I use zigzag spike pattern. (Watch video on the below, but I only Ch16 instead of Ch26)

Start with Brown yarn, Make a chain of 16 ch, starting in the 3rd ch from hook

1 14sc [14] (Brown yarn)


2 – 15 Just like in the video
16 Ch1, (sc, a cluster of 3 loop in next space) * 7 , sc
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing (100cm).
Stacking the fabrics up (The right side out), sew around the fabrics and stuff the pillow
firmly.
