COURSE INFORMATION
1. Course number : SCI 122
2. Course Name : Fluid Mechanics
3. Course Description : This course deals with the science of fluids (liquids and gases). It
discusses aerodynamics – the study of air and gases in motion; and hydrodynamics – the study of liquids
in motion. It discusses principle particularly Bernoulli and Pascal’s principles. It allows the students to gain
knowledge of how this topic is applied to daily activities and solve practical problems.
.
4. Pre-requisite : None
5. Co-requisite : Not Applicable
6. Credit : 3.0 Units
7. Lec / Lab. : 6 hours/week lecture
8. Program Educational Objectives (PEO) of BSED
Three to five years after graduation, the BSED graduates are expected to:
A. Demonstrate updated and deep knowledge of the subject matter they teach;
B. Apply a wide range of teaching process skills particularly on lesson planning, materials
development, teaching approaches, and ethical considerations;
C. Demonstrate effective communication skills and ethical responsibility in teaching profession;
and
