Les Pronoms Sujets

In English, there are words (“pronouns”) that we use to replace nouns (person/ place/
thing) in a sentence.
For example:
“Marco is a good player”→,“He is a good player”
“Lauren loves to cook” →“She loves to cook”
“The students are noisy” → “They are noisy”
These words help make sentences shorter and less repetitive. In French we use the
following pronouns:

Singular (1 Person) Plural (2+ people)

Je = I Nous = We

Tu = You Vous = You

Il = He Ils = They (group of

boys)

Elle = She Elles = They (group

of girls)

Iel = They Iels = They

(gender
neutral group)
