He stated that organisms have the ablility to adapt to their


environment and would gradually change into something
that would be more competitive to survive, a process called
evolution.

Freud’s theory
emphasized the influence of
the unconcious mind on
behavior

Freud beleived that the mind

conflicting elements: the id,
the ego, and the superego.
