Ilker Tasci
Ilker Tasci is a Full Professor of Medicine since 2017 at the
Department of Internal Medicine, Gulhane Faculty of Medicine of
University of Health Sciences Turkey, Ankara, Turkey. He obtained
his MD degree (1995), specialty in internal medicine and specialty
in geriatrics from this institution.

Following involvement in experimental studies in his early
career, he has been conducting clinical research on chronic non-
communicable diseases of middle aged and older adults in the
context of multimorbidity for fifteen years. He has authored over
150 international publications (H-index: 20) covering atheroscle-
rotic and metabolic diseases, cognitive and physical functions,
malnutrition, sarcopenia, and osteoporosis.
Since 2016, he has gained substantial experience in project eval-
uations and panels at top level, with successive roles in European
Commission H2020 calls, European Research Area proposals and
Newton Funds proposals.
He is in the reviewer lists/editorial board of high ranked journals
including Atherosclerosis. Also, he is a member of the American Ge-
riatrics Society, Turkish Society of Clinical Enteral & Parenteral
Nutrition, the EuGMS member Academic Geriatrics Society of
Turkey.
Prof. Dr. Ilker Tasci actively continues lectures, and drives clinic
and outpatient visits twice a week.
