How to Create CSWP Sample


Exam 111 in SolidWorks

Program & Block: Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering – ChE 2
Course: Computer Aided Design (CAD-III) – Final Exam (CSWP Sample Exam 111)

Step 1. Open SolidWorks

Step 2. Click Part and Click OK.

Step 3. Click Options in upper left corner.

Step 4. Click Document Properties and Click Units

Step 5. Click MMGS (millimeter, gram, second) then Click OK.


Step 6. Go to Right and Click in Top Plane then click Sketch

Step 7. Click Sketch and Draw a rectangle measuring 63 mm x 100mm.

Step 8. Extrude Boss/Base by 50 mm in depth.


Step 9. Change the color of the object by clicking Appearances, Click Color, Click Metal,
Click Copper then drag to the object
Step 10. Click the Left surface, Click Sketch and Circle and Lines tangent to the Circle
with the dimensions indicated on the image.

Step 11. Click Trim Entities, select Power Trim and drag to upper left of the Circle
Step 12. Extrude Cut by 42 mm in depth.

Step 13. Click Right Surface, Draw three Center Circles with the following dimensions:
Step 14. Extrude Cut the larger Circle by 13 mm in depth.

Step 15. Extrude Cut the middle Circle by 8 mm in depth.


Step 16. Click Right Surface, Click Sketch, draw Center Circle with the ff dimensions:

Step 17. Extrude Cut, Click Through All.


Step 18. Click Left View, Select the remaining part then Click Convert Entities. Extrude
Cut the entity, Select Through All.

Step 19. Click Front View, Click Sketch, Draw triangle using Line (angle = 20).
Step 20. Extrude Cut by 20mm in depth.

Step 21. Click Right View, Click Sketch, Draw Circle and Line tangent to the circle with
the following dimensions:
Step 22. Extrude Cut by 9mm in depth.

Step 23. Click Sketch and Draw Circle with the following dimension on the image:
Step 24. Extrude Cut, select Through All.

Step 25. Click Right View, Click Sketch, draw a rectangle using Line.
Step 26. Fillet the top corner by 10mm radius.

Step 27. Extrude Cut, select Through All.

Step 28. Click Right View, Click Sketch and Draw Corner Rectangle.
Step 29. Extrude Cut, select Through All.

Step 30. Click Top View, Draw a Corner Rectangle with the following dimensions.
Extrude Cut, select Through All.
Step 31. Click Top View, Draw Circle with the following dimensions.

Step 32. Extrude Cut, select Through All.


Step 33. Press Space and click the four views.

DONE.
