Text Structure

1. Chronological: The writer has used chronological text structure. In the text the writer
has used a lot of timelines like 250-205 million years ago. And the information in the
passage is organized in order of time.

2. Compare and contrast: The writer is describing two or more things, and their
differences are discussed. In the paragraph the writer is discussing the differences of
tyrannosaurs rex and the velociraptor, like rex was one of the largest carnivores to
ever walk in the earth, whereas velociraptor was very small compared to rex.

3. Sequence: The writer is explaining how to create a dinosaur with clay. He is using
sequence to explain this. Like First, bend your pipe cleaner to make the frame of your
dinosaur. I suggest you create a tyrannosaurus frame by using one long pipe cleaner
as his neck, spine, and tail, and then bend another into a u-shape to make his feet.

4. Problem and solution: The writer has used problem and solution. He showed a
question and gave the answer for it, in the paragraph the writer has used how the
dinosaurs went extinct and he gave an answer for it stating that meteorite has fallen
on earth and dinosaurs went extinct.

5. Compare and contrast: The writer has used compare and contrast and he compared
2 dinosaurs.

6. Cause and effect: The writer has used cause and effect for this paragraph he
explained about the Dino the dinosaurs.
