Collocations play a very important role in helping to make your English sound more
natural! These phrases can improve your English speaking abilities and help you express
your emotions.

Let’s review. What is a collocation?


A collocation is a group of words that are often put together to create a specific
meaning. These phrases are used in a way that sounds correct to native English
speakers, but the meaning of these phrases may be different than what would be
expected.

There are several different types of collocations. Today we will be talking about “do +
___” collocations. ​We typically use this collocation when talking about
actions, tasks and activities.

10 Useful “Do” Collocations
